Majkhali woods, Ranikhet by Himalayan Eco Lodges

A charming group of cottages, situated at an elevation, at Majkhali, 11 km from Ranikhet. We enjoyed our stay here tremendously. The cottages are spacious, clean, and great for those who are looking for some time away from the hustle-bustle and smoke of the city. I was delighted when I looked up one night and managed to see stars! The manager, Vikram, and other staff are quite courteous, and extremely helpful, if you need some information on the local sights. The food is delicious, though a tad pricey. It would be more convenient to reach this location if you have a vehicle of your own. A word of caution for those who are travelling with elderly, or those with respiratory, cardiac and joint complaints. One has to walk up a cemented path for 500 metres from Parking, to reach the cottages. It is a strain for those with the above complaints. So, do keep that in mind while booking these cottages. The hotel staff do help in taking your luggage up. One major negative point is that the rooms are not provided with heaters or electric kettles, and temperatures are freezing at this time of the year. Though, the staff do assist in arranging for heaters, at extra cost. Apart from that, I would definitely look to booking these cottages the next time I travel to this belt.

Himalayan Eco lodge a near perfect place to stay for a while for enjoying a peaceful green time out of hectic city life. However as it's a lodge in woods, one would have to park in lodge parking and then walk for several metres towards lodges which has few metres of walk on height . Before reaching to lodges pls do let Lodge manager Mr. Vicky know about your time of reaching so that he can have people assist in shifting of luggage when one reaches at parking. Apart from that stay at lodge was very comfortable as rooms are well furnished as can be seen in photos shared and Food was also nice. Fooding is done in buffet and room service is available in exceptional circumstances only. Rest once booking is done Lodge manager contacts with detail of location and fooding details available at lodge. Activities like zipline, burma bridge, trekking and bonfire are available near lodge. Suggestions for management- pls add TV connections to rooms also so that people staying for longer duration can remain updated to outside world and signage board needed at main road towards parking as people who are reaching in dark would find road to lodge difficult to find. From Kasouni to this place. I would say I finally enjoyed the serene beauty of the lush green mountains. Embracing the pleasant cold wind at 1pm in June when most of the mountains are hot as deserts is a piece of cake. Our stay at Himalay Eco Lodges is located on a beautiful forest surrounded by trees and flowers. There are small treks where one can go and explore. Majkhali is the best place to see the scenic vistas found from the top of a mountain. Other than its natural beauty, the tiny village is also known for its Goddess Kali Temple. It doles out pleasing sights to forest Nursery offering different variety of Flora and Fauna And assortment of beautiful sights. If you are looking for a peaceful place which is far away from the general tourists where you can just sit, listen to Music, write, paint, read and enjoy the calmness then these cosy cottages are for you. 1st and most important thing which I have to highlight that this beautiful n mesmerizing place is not ment for old aged people's and small childrens because of their steep uphill approach trek form car parking to cottages. except that all other things like their services ,food, ambiance,rooms are all above our expectations,we have really enjoy our stay for three days. Their hotel manager Vikram is totally a yes Man and always at your service. For your betterment I really wanted to give you some suggestions which will help you to grow further. 1) make a good approach passage or drive through to the cottages. 2) From Ranikhet it is 12 km drive to your resort and in between their is no sign board or marking of any kind . reaching to your resort without gps location is very confusing. 3) Television should be installed in every rooms . thanks n regards
