Destination:: Great place. Amazing food. Wilderness all around you. Peace and serenity surrounds you.Hotel staff- couteous, helping. Approachability:: Will never get it's due credit because of the treacherous drive that leads there. Boy! You don't know, but you're up for some serious off-roading. It's a rough drive from right where you turn for the resort from Kotdwar and believe it or not the next almost 80 kms will take you around 3-4 hrs depending upon your speed vs the love for your vehicle. The last 5kms - you're up for a rollercoaster ride, you take a sharp U-turn where you feel you've come the wrong way and head back that instant. Positive: Silence/ Natural beauty/All indoor and outdoor activities available. Offers Safari and a trek (check before for it being operational). Negatives: You stay and don't go out since it's isolated and there's nothing outside the resort.

Overall experience was satisfactory . Drive through dense forest & Location of this resort being on a hill top is amazing. The staff at resort was fast, quick and courteous . Food quality was Ok but variety was missing in dinner buffet keeping in mind charges and no other food option near by. Guess water was a big issue due to which the swimming pool was not functional and was with less water, only 80% of its capacity. No provisions were ensured to even keep that 80% of water clean . Pool was dirty and tiles were broken from various places. Was a clam & quiet place with no hustle bustle around . So entertainment stuff like TV's were not placed in rooms either . Single TV was available at Restaurant for all. proper Land scaping in resort would make it look far more beautiful .

You have to discover a new word to express the feeling you get when you are in Vanvasa. Amazing location though you have to travel theough some rough patches but in the end what matters is the destination and I really have no words to express my feelings when I reached their. Staff was very very very friendly, General Manager was also very friendly and treats you affectionately. Night safari is what one should look for. Rooms are sooooo spacious and the view is OUTSTANDING. I have made peomise to myself that I will visit Vanvasa soon again.

Hotel is located on the outskirts where there is nothing else located nearby.. Last 3kms to the hotel is really dirt road. Hotel is well built but there are certain issues of electricity, no WiFi, no networks. It totally follows their theme of vanvasa.. Hence., no TV in rooms. I would rate their hospitality 9. One should check weather before visiting. Weather was amazing when I visited gand I was living in clouds as u could see in my photos shared. No bar in the hotel

A very nice property with all the basic amenities. Though the approach is bit difficult but you will enjoy the place once you are there. This is the place if you want to spend sometime away from stress of day to day life in cities. There is no TV, no WiFi and weak mobile signals, so you can be really away from everything for a while. Hotel staff is very friendly and cooperative. Amit (at reception) makes sure that you get whatever you want.

If you are very busy with your work and daily life and need some time for yourself alone or with family then this is the perfect place for you. Just visit this property and forget about the rest of world. Hotel staff made my 2 days stay perfect. Staff was very polite and professional. Special thanks to Ravi and Om from f & b and Amit from front office for making my stay comfortable.

Hidden in the lap of mother nature and the majestic mountains, vanvasa was truly a great stay experience! We had a great 3 nights stay where we experienced the wilderness and beauty of the mountains. Would recommend this place to all those who want to just relax and disconnect themselves from the daily hustle bustle.

This place is must visit place, but first check weather on the net because weather of lansdowne and vanvasa is different, vanvasa is hotter then lansdowne. overall good experience very nice property. I will visit again. One thing for vanvasa management, plz provide more signage so that any one can locate it easily.

View from cottage room 101 to 106 was awsum, but still have to improve in food quality. In our 3 days stays we only got 1 day buffet, rest all the days was al carte. Even food quality was not so good, repeated menu all the days. Room didnt have the tv, but we have tt and badminton court.

Vanvasa is a nice place to relax. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel Although the approach road was not very good and it needs some maintenance as well. Rooms are spacious, food is good and ambience is nice. Hotel staff is also very humble

Overall stay was comfertable. Food was tasty. In evening there was activities like nagic show and live music. It was really good.... but road from kotdwar to vanvasa was not so good.

Nice property to visit but the only issue is they have electricity problem. Though they have backup but AC doesn't work on backup and it can be real pain in summers
