I recently stayed at Poonja International Hotel for three days, and I must say it was a thoroughly disappointing experience.
The room I was initially given had a non-functional AC, and the entire room was plagued by dampness. The bathroom was in an even worse state, with mushrooms growing in the ventilation window and visible fungal growth. The room wasn't even clean, with visible moisture layers on the walls.

No exhaust fan in rest room and no air circulation.. felt like sleeping in the toilet..when asked the POLITE answer was that this is how it is for non a/c.

Old styled rooms an AC.beds are ok. Toilets clean. Furniture good no stains. Breakfast is good quality. Hospitality is good.

Had a great stay here. It’s affordable, clean, and located right in the centre of the city. The entire staff was friendly and helpful especially Mr. Sathish Shetty who was very cordiall. Breakfast was complimentary with good variety. Only issue was the hot water-had to call reception every time to get it turned on. Still, a nice place overall. Would recommend.

Staying for the second time at this old worn out hotel. They have renovation going on during this time and no prior information given. Could hardly sleep at night. Rooms are not cleaned properly, full of dust under the bed. Worn out towels, furniture, bed sheets and pillows. Only positive thing is the food.
