Pros: Good homely food, good service, neat rooms, kitchen to cook some basic food like Maggi, tea, etc.
Friendly people to interact with.
Cons: Small bedroom, kitchen and hall are shared space with other 2 rooms. Food is a bit costly by homestay standards. They also charge the same cost for kids above 5yrs(not cool) . 350rs for non-veg and 300rs for veg per head.
Distance is far from ooty(almost 1hr from ooty) no shops nearby. But these are all mentioned in their website. So I went prepared and I am quite happy about the stay.

Good place to stay but little far from Ooty..If u go after 6 very difficult to reach..and u dont get anything their..You have to carry from city..
If u take dinner Its costing 350 Non Veg and 300 Rs for Veg..if u are booked with Breakfast also still they will charge for more than 6 Years child Rs 200 Breakfast.
Location View is good but combined Balcony and Common Area..No Room Service and No House Keeping..
After paying 5000 Rs also u have to clean ur plates after Dinner Or Breakfast.
But if u want to enjoy the view its right place.

I had an excellent experience something really more than what I was looking for.The food was amazing and janaki aunty was so caring about looking forward to make the stay way too good .Overall an 10/10 rating from my side.

Peaceful place. Good option for anyone who isnt keen on exploring the commercialized ooty town, especially families. Youngsters/bachelors may find the place to be less 'happening'. This place is 60-90 mins far from ooty town. The roads leading here are in decent shape. The property is not marked with sign boards. Locals nearby do not know the property by the name Windthistle villa. Only way to know is to memorise the villa from photos and spot it when one is there. Its basically a villa homestay ...more

the best place for people want to relax and enjoy. The rooms are preety clean and decent facilities. Food was hone made and really good.
Going to ooty will be little hectic however avalanchi and emarald lakes are near by to enjoy .

Located at such a scenic place, the view from balcony (which is spacious enough for 8 chairs easily) is breathtaking. It's perfect when you want a peaceful, relaxed vacation.
It's more of a homestay though - the owner (a warm person) lives in the ground floor with family, and three rooms in the first floor are available for guests. Nevertheless, it's very well maintained and clean. Also has a fully furnished kitchen.

It's like a Home away from home. I had a great time staying in Homestay. Rooms were very clean and this place has a beautiful and pleasent view.
Mr.Mani and family took great care of me. Being a solo traveller they helped me in every way possible.

far from the city... its not a villa.
its a homestay.. where u wash ur utensils on ur own.. overly priced... rest everything is clean and comfortable.. overall good.. no shops nearby..
