RIO RESORT (A RIVERSIDE)

Will tell u pros & consPros :Walking distance from robbers cave Beautiful resort Has a river flowing in backyard in which you can relax & enjoy(Best part)There is ample parking on the property.Cons :Do not expect room service, they dont even have phones, fridge or tv in the room.They will push you to go for buffet which in no way would be 550 pp. So better to have all your meal plans from outside.They are highly understaffed. They have only 7-8 ppl working round the clock when there should be atleast staff of over 15 ppl.Free breakfast is just namesake. They only prepare 1-2 dishes & that too no option of juice or coffee.So my view is, If you are looking for a place to relax & enjoy drinks & not worry about room service & all then go for the place. It has amazing lawn & a clean river flowing in backyard.But if u r a person who heavily relies on hotel room service & cleanliness then avoid the place .Reading previous reviews of the place i was mentally prepared about the service & hence was not bothered about it much .Main Dehradun market is just 4 kms where you can enjoy the food as per your own choice.No room service .No phone in roomNo tv in roomNo fridge in room to keep baby milk coolFood quality not upto markAlmost no variety in breakfast buffet

We wanted to a go for a short trip with sole objective of staying at a place which is close to nature, not too commercialized and most importantly to spend peaceful family time with our small kids. After going through the review of many hotel/resorts options we finally decided to go for Rio Resort due to his natural surroundings as per the reviews we gone through and after staying there we can surely recommend to people who want to be close to nature and want to spend precious family time in a very peaceful environment. From beautifully landscaped resort to small stream of river passing by towards Robbers Cave is surely a treat to your eyes and lungs. Don't expect 5 star facilities but enough to meet stay requirement. Locating resort would not be difficult as its walking distance away from Robbers Cave so easily can be guided by locals but ensure you have your own mode of transport . Food is served fresh based on your requirement as you can be sure no stale food issues. The cook at resort is great as we being a foodie can surely vouch for the same. Joshi Ji, manager of resort who staying at resort itself is very helpful and take personal care of the guests and also other support staff are also very good. Please do visit this resort once to experience the change.

Awesome Experience... Best part is food quality (with huge quantity) & quality service. Mr Pramod is the only person who was taking care of two family... and trust me.. he is enough to take care... Great quality service.. whatever would be the situation... whether its heavy raining, be ny tym.. be ny thing.. Mr Pramod was alwaz available.. (wnevr visit dere.. ask for Mr Pramod to take care!)

The location and setting is awesome with the river flowing by and open lawns and huts. However, needs better manning on services front, intercom, TV in rooms and WiFi must be there...all this especially when they charge so much, I paid almost 6000 per night including breakfast, dinner and taxes. A restaurant at the resort would also be good. done
