We booked Alfred's Jewel as a group of 3 friends for Sunburn. Our initial reactions upon checking into the place were not the best. There were multiple power cuts and our room was infested with insects. However, I would like to give the staff kudos for preparing another room then and there and shifting us to that. Our 5-day stay was mostly very consistent. Alfred's Jewel is a very simple, no-frills and value for money property which shines primarily because of it's amazing location. There are a lot of up-market cafes and restaurants nearby along with a number of wine and beer shops and super markets. The in-house Cafe Alfred, like the rest of the hotel, is simple and gets the job done as long as you're not expecting a lot of it. All the items in the Menu are well priced and taste decent. The nearby Ciao Bella and Soro restaurants are much better if you're looking for a proper, delicious meal. Even the breakfast buffet in our package was nothing to write home about. Very simple and functional, usually one vegetarian dish and one non-veg. All in all, it was a great experience staying at Alfred's Jewel. It was nothing extraordinary but at the same time got the job done while being an excellent value for money proposition. One last experience that I must mention is that on the day of our check out, our flight got delayed by 6 hours. The staff at Alfred's Jewel were hospitable enough to let us stay in the premises and keep our luggage there. A very empathetic gesture. If you're someone who is looking to go to Sunburn, I would definitely recommend Alfred's without a doubt.

Our two night stay has been wonderful. Right from check-in to check-out, the overall experience has been amazing. The staff was really Courtiuous and very helpful. Sahil and Russell were available for us round the clock and always greeted with a smile. Cruze (The Owner) was very friendly and ensured we feel comfortable in the resort during our entire stay. 5 out of 5 for the room service and staff!!! Starting with the Rooms, they are spacious with big and clean bathrooms and air conditioning along with a refrigerator and a wardrobe. All rooms are pool facing with a seating area around the pool and outside the room where you can enjoy a drink. The swimming pool was clean and is big enough. The location of the resort is very quite and peaceful. Safe for Families and couples. The restaurant is still under construction. But there are lots of food options on Vagator Road which is approx 1.5 km from the resort. A perfect place for a group outing with friends and families. Go ahead and book it. Will surely stay here during my next visit to Goa.

The hotel ambiance is very good. We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. It was a very good experience. The problem we faced was in room where we stayed (room no. 112). There was small rat or mouse in the space between ceiling and roof top. That was creating too much noise in midnight that we hardly able to sleep in second night. No one was there to help at night. The other problem was there was no intercom phone and they will not clean your room unless you give room keys to receptionist and ask them to clean the room. They have not informed regarding this rule at the time of check-in so we have to stay in uncleaned room for second day also. The food quality is good but they have very few options available. Overall good stay for family and couples.

Alfred's Jewel A true jewel of a stay.. a resort at the heart of Anjuna in Goa.. so well maintained and such a warm set of service.. property soothing to the eye and food that bursted flavours in my tongue.. one of the best properties I have been in the recent past.. Even if it was an off season Mr.Cruz, who owns the place was beyond a host and kept us way too comfortable.. recommend this place to everyone who would visit Goa.. a different experience on a whole. Loved it everything...
