We stayed for 2 night 3 days at Narayana. Villa and I take an oath that i will never stay at So called Hotel which has only good looks rest all is bad with no prospect of improvement. Above statement is after having no of issues at Narayana Villas. Narayana villas 1) 1st day room not cleaned even though key was given at reception for same. 2) Wifi never works if u ask router issue or intermet down. 3) Food is very limited charge for buffet breakfast but will get things in couting and not buffet 2 items fixed will be served. 4) lunch & dinner has specific time, so be on time if you are late sleep hungry or keep eating Dosa only as batter is prepared in bulk i believe. 5) Its actually not Heritage hotel, dont go on name its actually styled villa, rooms are decent though. 6) No tea coffee maker in hotel at this price usually it is there.. 7) 2 guest in one room yet only 1 complimentary bottle a day. 8) Tv is there but shortage in setup box and channels which are free are available to watch. 9) Menu exist only for foreigner's, for indians only few items although menu has many items. 10) Conveyance at your own only or wait for Auto which hotel cannot arrange. Good point - staff was soft spoken and arranged mansion visit, thank you for same. If you still feel the desire to stay, you are at your own risk of wasting hard earned money which no one can and ever will.

chettinadu narayana vilas is a medium range accommodation at kanadukathan. for quite sometime, some or other infrastructural repair work inside the compound was going on, making it difficult to find sufficient parking space. inside the room, it is an old chettinadu villa, where you can soak in the old world charm but not of a grandios style like that of chettinadu manor or visalam, but a less expensive, medium style one. approach of the employees is ok, food is good, kitchen staff is receptive to suggestions and are eager to please. in one of my stays, on my request, the employees took time off to take me and my family to a religious function going on nearby. plumbing work needs to be attended to. furniture inside the room are all antique style and you will enjoy your rest. inspite of the shortcomings pointed out, i really like the place and keep coming back at least twice an year, to enjoy the chettinadu charm and the quiteness around.

A stately mansion converted into a hotel. Located right next to the famous Kanadukathan palace. Very courteous staff. I just had coffee there so I can't comment about the food but looked great as many others ere enjoying their lunch. Quiet environs. The local bus stop is within walkable distance. Frequent buses to Karaikudi town,about 15 kms away. Although there are many autos, the fares are very high. If you are looking for moments of solitude, this is a right pick.

Good stay whilst visiting Pillayapatti for 1 night. It is away from the main market area of Karaikudi so it helps if one has a self driver Car or any car for that matter. We had one, so no issues there. Got parking within the compound for the night. It is a mansion converted to a hotel. Good Large Rooms and Clean. Food could have been better. WE had lunch there which missed the mark. Overall Happy, will stay there again

Hotel is well maintained and the 24 hour check-in and service was nice and the staff are mostly local so they are very courteous. It is kept neat and provided required facility. No luxury items also the plug points provisions are not good to charge cell phone. They should provide more plug points. We did not get opportunity to have food. Food need has to be informed in advance.

Great place in chettinad a bit expensive though. Great staff family ambience, awesome food. The ladies or achies as they are called are like family the take care of us..the owner is a very nice person very caring..overall great place but I feel a bit expensive though due to location or season. Overall it cost us 5k per night

Too expensive for the facilities and the quality. No room service available and the food option is very limited. the quality of the food is also below par. There is nothing great about this place. it's a mediocre place and the only advantage is the location which is walkable distance from few tourist places

Very helpful people and understanding persons.The manager Mr. Shanmugasundaram gave valuable inputs regrding the location of the hotel. We would have proceeded to Karaikudi. Instead he advised us to get down at Chettinad station. Not only that. He also sent an auto to pick us up from the station.

it is ok for one night stay.....toilet cleaniness need to be improved flush is not working. when we checked in cable tv was not working after complained in the morning its started working..... Air condition is powerful for this summer cools down the room very quick.

good rooms in peaceful kanadukathan village..ideal place to visit chettinad mansions..the food is very very costly as there are only heritage hotels in the area..3 star rooms at budget money..

Pathetic hotel and service. Only advantage is that it is located in core village which has many Chettinad style architecture houses.. walkable ... Not recommended unless we have another option
