Safar Hostel Manali

We recently stayed at this lovely little hostel in Old Manali and had a great time! The views from the hostel were simply stunning, you could see the snow capped mountains and the river from the common area. Though the hostel is a short uphill walk from the main road, the location is perfect. The hostel offers breakfast and dinner, and the food was delicious! Simple but hearty meals, and the staff was very prompt with serving. The hosts, Ali and Sanchita, were extremely friendly and made the experience even better. They gave us great recommendations for cafes and things to do around Manali. We even went on a short trek with them, which was a highlight of our trip. If you're looking for a comfortable yet affordable place to stay in Manali with wonderful hosts, I would highly recommend this hostel. The vibe is very chilled out and homely, and it's a great place to meet fellow travelers. Though the rooms are basic, the hospitality and location more than make up for it. All in all, we had a lovely time here and would definitely stay again if we're ever back in Manali! The short climb up is well worth the views and the service. Had an awesome experience staying in Safar. Sharing a few pros and cons. Pros :- 1. Good vibes 2. Extremely nice, humble, friendly and wonderful hosts 3. Quality food. Chef is quite experienced. 4. Cooperative staff 5. Amazing rooftop working area with a pretty decent wifi speed for those who wish to work from mountains. 6. Proper Hygiene and cleanliness being taken care of. 7. Soothing sound of beas river makes the morning really good 8. Superb ambience 9. Easily accessible 10. Good cafes nearby 11. Also, I was lucky to have very nice people staying in other rooms/dorms. Cons :- 1. oooops couldn't find any 😜 Summing up, I'll recommend this hostel to everyone. be it a solo traveller or a family. Safar is for everyone. #safarRocks

The location of this hostel was perfect! All the cafes were at a walking distance and the view from their common area was gorgeous. The owner will go out of her way to make you feel comfortable, (although i couldn't meet her in person but she gave me amazing recommendations). Their dogs made it such a joy to stay. Will definitely visit this hostel again!

Location is perfect for people who want to stay away from crowd yet don't want to be too far from all the actions of old Manali. Amazing hill view from workstation set up on roof. Good internet connectivity (around 100mbps) with power back up for uninterrupted work, wasn't really expecting that. Hosts are friendly people. Food quality is just WOW.
