Location: it is way inside the city and you have to go downhill for over a km before you reach the hotel. The downhill to hotel is not a proper road.Rooms: While in the base category they promise a Jungle / Valley view, however you can only see a concrete wall or top of another building of the same hotel (picture attached). therefore please do not book imperial room atleast. not worth it at allCleanliness: The bathroom wasn't clean, there were insects in the room and walls are dilapidated. Even the tea spoon inside the room was a used one. There are not bath mat, no floor mat. They do not provide slippers inside the room which incase of city like Shimla is important. Housekeeping: Very slow housekeeping you need to followup multiple times. When asked for floor mat they gave a used towel and for slippers they gave a used slippers and said it's only available for 1 guestoverall. the amount of money we paid it was not worth it at all. Avoid booking this property.

Had a very poor experience of this hotel. One cannot expect filthy, stinky bedsheets and blankets with hair and stains from previous customers after paying Rs 2500/- per night. The bathroom wasn't clean at all including the toilet pot. The previously used soap and shampoo were lying with lots of hair. No slippers, towels and toiletries were provided. The room was not wiped, dusted, sweeped and cleaned. Shocked to see the condition we called for the staff. When we showed the condition of the room to the attendant he (Sunny) replied "you should've checked it before". This was the last nail in the coffin. He got it changed afterwards though but we simply had an awful experience of this place. The food served was okay.

This resort is located at a very convenient place, just a few meters away from vidhan sabha chowk.. it gives an amazing feeling of living in a forest while being just 1.5kms away from the mall road..Special mention to the property manager Ms. Babita and her associate Ms. Tina, who makes sure that the guests wont be having any inconvenience, their response is very prompt and accurate to our request.the overall experience was very joyful.. full marks to amazingly built structure and its hardworking staff. will definitely recommend to the people who would like to stay close to the shimla and yet wanting to have a peaceful forest resort stay. Specious Room, Scenic nature around the property. Delicious food.

Enjoyed my stay here thoroughly, very well maintained resort and very hygienic, and food is very delicious and the staff is very friendly and hospitable. If you want to be away from the crowd, give this place a shot. A mesmerizing stare at the beauty of nature will leave you spellbound. The hotel staff and the room service was excellent. They will be there providing you a great service. If you feel any difficulty with the steep mountain slope, a driver will help you with that. Overall, great time spent! :-) . It is a place where soul checks in and soul checks out. Very cool accommodation in the lap of nature, feel of heaven from the rooftop cafe as we are close to touch pine trees and sky.

we have a spent a great 2 days holiday at shimla british resort. it was an amazing experience, there are a lot of activities there. we had a lovely yoga session and other activities like nature walk. we specially enjoyed our photo shoot. the kids had an excellent time. enjoyed all the activities. food, variety and taste was bang on. kids had their own activities whereas adults got their own new group. highly recommended

Great place to stay in Shimla, yet out of hustle bustle of city. You would feel like you are living in forest area. Also hospitality is amazing, special thanks to the manager Sh. Dinesh Thakur. He is very helpful and positive person. Nearby activities: Take a walk down to Army muesem (approx 800 mtr), take a local bus to Vidhan Sabha and walk mall road, get back to Vidhansabha and walk down to resort.

A great stay at Shimla British Resort for 2 nights and 3 days. We thoroughly enjoyed being pampered and well taken care of. The room was great with antic wooden furniture with added a great gothic experience to our stay. A special mention to our host Ms. Babita for looking after us and introducing us to the local places of Shimla. Athithi Devo Bhava at its best. Done

what a beautiful place to stay right from food , cleanliness, staff everything was so gud... really i have no words to thank everyone to make our stay worthy and memorable spl. thank to miss. babita. she was extremely friendly and helpful with the indoor games.will come soon fly high. the Scottish villa rooms are so big and comfortable. really enjoyed the stay.

It was a nice experience staying in SBR, this resort is in the forest, away from the city's noisy environment it's a very peaceful place to relax. Owner is friendly & cooperative & Staff is very polite..I would love to stay there again with my whole family..the only thing that should taking care of was some minor plumbing work, hope it would get done next tme.

The location is offbeat and out of the hustle of city. Rooms are spacious and excellent British era furnitures. Big beds are comfortable and each room is equipped for 4 adults. Slok Goyal is excellent in his management and makes guest very comfortable. If you have a car best place to be. Without car you need to use taxi to visit shimla.

The property has a beautiful British architecture , one can click beautiful pictures. Location is quite interior, the roads are steep and one can find difficult to drive. Service is good, food is good and as per the price quantity is enough. The room I got was not that clean, there was dust on furniture. Bed lining was also quite dirty.

Rooms are badly maintained and is located in outskirts where we were even unable to take car and got stuck. waited every time more than 30 mnts even for water. No appropriate treatment to guests by Hotel owners and staff. Bad resort environment for family. Worst experience ever from this resort.

Bathroom aren't maintained well enough, the room we booked were already alloted to someone else and we were allotted with a different room (although that was also good). Food is really good specially Indian cuisines, tea is a must try really amazing. Staff is very down to earth and helpful.

The location of the resort is amazing. There is a small beautiful trek from the resort which leads to the Mall Road. The view and the vibe around the dining and lounge area is beautiful because the resort is surrounded by so many trees.!!! The staff is cordial and helpful.
