Dear Mr. Sharma, thank you very much for your review. I have taken some time in replying to you because this is the first time that I am at a loss for words in replying to a guest, who conveniently has gone back on his assurances, words and certainly most conveniently has forgotten to mention so many salient features of his experience on the said night. Let me remind you of a few details, that you have apparently forgotten in a few hours. First, it was you who called the reception to inform them that your sister was very worried and nervous, as there seemed to be a problem in another neighboring room, to which we immediately responded and in trying to solve the problem, saw no other way out, but in the interest of our property and other guests (you included), WE decided to call the police, since it involved a female guest and that, as you know, in India is just the right thing to do. With a considerable joint effort, we managed to resolve that issue and in case you are not aware of the situation, we in conjunction and agreement of the police, even dropped the female guest to her friend’s place in New Delhi at 5:00 AM, since it was our concern that she stay safe and this after the male guest was handed over to the police and do not forget that you were standing there the whole time and was supportive of our actions and hence, your comments come as a total surprise to us. Second, at 4:00 AM while we were busy with the issues at hand, you wanted to have a Pizza Margherita, which so happens to be the most popular pizza (the Margherita) out of the ten varieties (there is a card in the room) that we have, and as the situation would be, we had sold all of them that night (it happens sometimes when the house is full and every room is sold out). We asked you if you would prefer another pizza and you refused. Your review quotes that there is no food at night, whereas you forget to mention that the pizza you ordered was not available. In addition to the pizzas, we could always have given you sandwiches, salads, omelets etc. Third, we apologized (me personally) to your sister and you for the disturbance caused and you assured us that it was okay and that you were aware of the fact that it was really not our fault but that of the other guests. Surprisingly, no other guests on other floors were affected and the two other guests on the same floor did not find the situation worthy of mention and one of them, for your information has checked in again, because he found our services extremely personal and friendly. I hope you now understand why we are extremely disappointed in your review, because it seems that you have very subtly omitted certain facts in order to create a whole different picture. To close this extensive reply, I would like to inform you that your bad review was either because of the disturbance caused by other guests, which in this case you were not honest in your assurances given, or you decided to review us negatively because we did not have your favourite pizza out of a total of ten other pizza varieties and other food options, which again is a rather misguided one given your comment. As to location, signage etc. it is surprising that foreigners and other Indian corporate guests who are first time visitors to the property have no issues of finding it and yet you are the first guest that had a problem with the signage. We would like to make you aware of the fact that there is something called google maps that can be used on your smartphone and if that is beyond your capabilities, then there is something called a phone call that you can use to call us in order to guide you in. Even though one of the best markets in Gurgaon is just 100 meters away, it can be a challenge to find food at 4:00 AM outside of the establishment, unless of course if you choose to stay at a four or five-star hotel and not a bed-and-breakfast (which it seems you have also indeed also forgotten). Being only a bed-and-breakfast and yet having a 24x7 food, snacks and service possibility, including a reception and housekeeping on 24x7 call seems to have slipped by your attention. To wrap this up, we apologise once again for the behaviour of the other guests but we do not accept your review as an immature punishment for every other effort put in by the entire team to master a situation that was to be taken care of just as any other situation irrespective of the fact if it was of our doing or not.
