Hotel Sunrise

I had booked 2 standard AC rooms for us. me and my wife were accompained with my child and 77 yrs. old father. We went digha by our rented car from Kolkata. I have given 1 star just for it's location near sea otherwise don't expect a single cup of tea in this hotel as this hotel (looks like standing alone old house) has no provision for any food. We reached to hotel at about 1200 PM after long journey but in reception when I had shown my identity (Aadhar) and booking of rooms they told they have no such information and refered me to talk someone over phone. They started to ask hard copy of booking which was at that time not with me. When I told my old father is not feeling well and asked some time to get it my documents printed then somehow they allowed us and given some time for it. There was no feeling of any good hotel as they have old bedsheets and pillow cover. There was intercom but non-functional, if you want bedsheet you have to come down and they can give you old one on if they show mercy. They talk very rude and impolite. Avoid it. .

NOT RECOMMENDED. This is actually a lodge with minimum possible below average amenities. The cost is excessively high in comparison to the quality of room & service provided. It is near to Sea but Sea is not viewable from Hotel even from Top Floor. There is no restaurant/kitchen in the lodge, only accommodation type. Rooms are very small, geyser/AC all are being controlled from reception. The bed sheet was dirty, room was not clean. There is NO SERVICE AT ALL available at the hotel. Check out time is 10 AM – which is not normal anywhere. I visited with my family on 23.01.21 along with another family. We were given 2 rooms at the top floor of different qualities. Our experience is very bad & we will NEVER RECOMMEND this hotel to any one for sure. You will get much much better hotel at Digha at this high price.

Overall it was a nice stay at hotel Sunrise ...Room is quite good and clean...location is perfect.you can get anything you want as the location is beside the market area... Staff behavior is quite good...one drawback of the hotel, there is no restaurant in the hotel..but if you asked them for anything, they can bring for you...Hotel looks not so attractive but if you concentrate on room and its location, I think its value for money ....

Total rabish. We have to much problem in this hotel.like 1)gayger not working,2)they not give us extra pillow,3)they not give us blanket,4)they not give us extra matress even we were ready to pay for this,5) bathroom door looking transparent from the in and out sides i mean you can see people doing what in the bathroom from the outside door,6) and very big problem that the main door lock not working from inside room.
