Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage houses many orphaned elephants and rhinos while Mamba Village houses ostriches and crocodiles. The Karen Blixen Museum, Bomas of Kenya, Kazuri Beads and Pottery Centre and Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC) offer a cultural glimpse into Kenyan traditions. The Maasai Market is an excellent place to shop extraordinary tribal crafts.

Almost everything here is non-vegetarian, so vegetarians may face a problem in the food section. Nyma Choma, Ugali and fish dishes are very popular local dishes. The Alchemist Bar, Kilimanjaro Jamia, J’s Fresh Bar, Carnivore, Bao Box and Mama Oliech are some known places to dine out.  
Transportation
Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) is the main airport in  Nairobi and connects to several international cities via major air carriers such as Kenya Airways, Ethiopian, British Airways, Turkish Airlines and more. Kenya Airways is the national airline of Kenya and provides regular flights to Indian destinations like Mumbai and Delhi. It also has flights to European destinations like London, Rome, Paris and Amsterdam as well as to Asian cities like Seoul, Beijing, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Guangzhou.

Kenya Airways airline was established in the year 1977 after the breakup of the East African Community and the resultant disbanding of the jointly-owned East African Airways.

The Government of Kenya planned to privatize the airline in the year 1986 and subsequently in 1991 a new board was appointed at Kenya Airways with the agenda to commercialise and privatize the airline.

In October 2005, the airline got IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit) certificate and became the first carrier in sub-Saharan to get this prominent safety certificate.

Kenya Airways joined SkyTeam as an Associate Airline in 2007 and became a full member of SkyTeam in 2010.
