Web check-in and verification
To check-in, passengers can visit http://en.ceair.com/EnWebCheckin/uniEnter/back.shtml and fill in the details regarding the ID, passport, or ticket number along with the family name. Passengers then have to provide their valid phone numbers for which a verification code would be sent. After passengers type in the verification code, they can click on the ‘confirm’ button. If passengers wish to cancel their flights after the check-in must do it one hour prior to flight departure. Passengers must have their travel documents that are valid for 6 months including the return date.
Online check-in services in China Eastern Airlines are available from 24 hours to 90 minutes before the departure of flights. Passengers without the e-tickets and without confirmed bookings cannot opt for web check-in. China Eastern Airlines allows a maximum of 3 passengers with the same booking for online web check-in.
The web check-in service is not available for passengers who need wheelchairs, or passengers who have speech, hearing or visual impairments.
Baggage Allowance
For passengers travelling in economy class cabins, 20 kg of free check in baggage is allowed. Business class passengers can carry up to 30 kg of free check in baggage and first class passengers can carry up to 40 kg.
The overall dimensions of check-in baggage for flights to Europe, Japan, Australia, Korea, Bangkok, Singapore, and Japan should not exceed 158 cm in length, width, and height. Passengers flying to these locations are allowed to carry two baggage piece weighing 23 kg each in the economy class seats. Passengers travelling in business class cabins to these locations, can carry two baggage pieces, each weighing 32 kg and passengers in first class cabins are allowed to carry three baggage pieces, each weighing 32 kg.
Passengers travelling on international China Eastern Airlines in the economy and business class cabins are allowed to carry 10 kg of one piece of cabin baggage, and on first class cabins can carry two pieces of baggage on board weighing 10 kg each. The dimensions of the cabin baggage should not exceed 115 cm in the sum of length, width, and height.
Infants on domestic China Eastern Airlines flights are not entitled to free check-in baggage but a collapsible infant trolley is allowed. On international China Eastern Airlines flights, infants are entitled to 10 kg of free baggage allowance.

Based on the purpose of the trip and the nationality, passengers from international countries are required to obtain visas. Visas are checked when a passenger boards a flight and even when he/she enters a destination. The IATA travel centre website provides information if one requires a visa or not.
In-flight Services
China Eastern Airlines provides onboard Wi-Fi and passengers can apply for it 30 days before the departure. There are four classes of travel in the flights of this airline. While the first class cabins are only available in the Boeing 777 aircraft, passengers have a comfortable journey on the business class cabins where they can lie down on their seats and make use of the amenity kits.
