COCOLAND HERITAGE BEACH RESORT

i had a wonderful 3 nights stay at this hotel. the owner mr venu and manager mr. riju are the most kind, helpful and cooperative people i have ever met in all my travels and stays. riju, also my namesake, was always ready at your service. it is too hard to believe that such people still exist. the place is a quick walk from the main road and takes less than a minute to the kovalam beach. i am truly amazed by the extra-ordinary service provided by the entire team there including the staff member mr. lithin. a minute's walk from the restaurants saves a lot of time.the room was spacious, neat and tidy, comfortable bed, clean washroom and the large balcony with light and ceiling fan had more than the basic amenities you expect in a beach-side hotel. i had travelled for official work but ended by having a pleasurable experience as well. it is a very quiet and serene place.coming back to the hospitality, mr. riju went out of his way to help me take care of my official work. he gave me wakeup calls, arranged auto-rickshaws at the door-step, gave me contacts of officials who could help and, believe it or not, also accompanied me personally to take care of my work. his only comment to me was: "you are a friend. i will help you in whatever way i can". the owner mr. venu spent quite some time when i had questions about the official work i had and provided me lot of information as i am not a resident there and did not have too many details regarding the official process.even after riju went on holiday back to his family during my third day there, he continued to be on contact on the phone and helped arrange auto-rickshaw to the offices i had to go..and back to the airport. i cannot even comment how much relieved i was on the ease of taking care of my official work in a new town. i have never experienced such personal co-operation from anyone in all my travels ever. because of the reduced pressure, i could enjoy the evenings on the beach before starting on tasks for the next day.i would give more than 5 stars to this place and would recommend anyone who visits kovalam or even thiruvananthapuram to stay here.i never leave reviews on places i stay but could not stop myself from doing it this time.this is definitely the place i will be staying whenever i visit kovalam in future and have already recommended the same to all my friends.

I had a wonderful experience staying at Cocoland Heritage Beach Resort. I’m amazed by the hospitality of the caretaker. Riju called me up a few hours prior to my check in time and asked me to share my driver’s number. Then he kept in touch with my driver and arrived to pick us up and escort our bags. He was always ready to help, to recommend restaurants and to walk us to the beach, or anything else. The rooms are spacious. AC works really well. The view from balcony is beautiful. Too good for the price! I strongly suggest this hotel because of its proximity from the beach, spacious room and balcony and wonderful host Riju! For meals, don’t go the lonely planet restaurant that’s closest and recommended by the host. It has vegetarian option but the vibe or the food isn’t great. Rather go for restaurants/cafés near the beach.

My trip to Kovalam was amazing. Staff who works there were nice and could speak Hindi, English, and the local language. My room was big, clean, and had a big balcony. It was even better than I thought it would be, so It exceeded my expectations. The beaches, Kovalam and Hawa, were close by. The manager, Mr. Riju, was very helpful. He even arranged a taxi to Varkala for me. He even got milk for my little child on a very short notice. I couldn't have had a better time.

Best stay in Kovalam so far! Spacious and clean room and bathroom with its quiet balcony overlooking a coconut grove. We came for one day & ended up staying for a very pleasant 3+ days. The place has a 2 min private path to the beach. The Host Riju was ever present and extremely helpful with tips on the best cafes around. Other staff on the property were also very accommodative. Balcony has free WiFi access. The rooftop has a space for yoga practice.
