The following review has been submitted by the sister of the owner of this account: If you want to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city.. enjoy the view of the hills and be at complete peace, this is the place for you. I had my own car, so commuting to and fro from the hotel was easy for me.The stairs might be difficult for old-age people, but that is the only con. The food is okay, is reasonably priced and the customer service is very good. I liked the coffee a lot. I was a single woman - staying alone and the owners (all of them) tried to make my stay as comfortable as possible. They offered me help to arrange the transport when required, and gave me tips for my travel. If you give them some notice beforehand about your dining preferences, the food will be delivered on time as well. My mobile had full net coverage as a tower is not so far from the cottage. I stayed for three days and my stay was very peaceful and it felt very much like home. The staff comprised of only one man but he managed everything with excellence. The cost for my stay was reasonable as well. I would definitely recommend to all those who don't want to get lost in the noise of the hotels at the Mall road (Specially those who want to enjoy a good view from their hotel: I could see the stars and the city lit up at night.. it was an amazing, beautiful view)

beautiful homestay with a mind boggling view from the rooms n balcony n terrace. amazing lalit bhaiya working here for all that you will need from a cup of tea to the road condition updates and weather forecast information. he is a one man army. the owner is lovely too..very helpful, very supportive. it feels like home only with nice food. although the food variety is less but whatever is made, made with love, skills and vigour. the hotel feels like your very own home with your very own people. they arranged bonfire for us, arramged hot water when the whole shimla was in crisis of water. arranged food for us, and what not. we forgot our gold ring in their room and had checked in to another hotel when we realised tht we left our ring..called up lalit bhaiya and there he was with the ring found! amazing people we are going to visit here revit here re re re visit here all over again. best hotel in town

Property is no doubt awesome, scenery is beautiful from ur terrace. But as its homestay don't expect any facility. Other then breakfast nothing to eat here 🙄 for single tea you have to climb 2km, its July and raining can't go out, even delivery boys are not ready to come. Minimum order value should be 500/. Owners are only available over phone or after working hours as they are also working... So u can't expect any support from their side let's say in lunch time or snacks time. Although they are very co-operative in terms of sharing info and numbers. Its just a room on rent and nothing... So plan accordingly

Location at which this home stay is situated is awesome nice view from upper room. This is very good stay of us recently in March we have very good experiance of this stay. i would like to thanks Mr Lalit who cooked very good food for us and quality of food was very nice and hyginic. They are really cooperative the one thing i would like to add is that it is far from main bus stand so if you have taxi or own vehicle than there is no issue otherwise you will face some problem to reach the stay. otherwise overall experiance was fantastic.

location is very quite and peaceful. however, it is quite far from other location like mall and isbt etc. A waterfall is there near to this place. as mentioned by the care taker the pick up and drop is available at rs 300 one way.food charges are nominal and good. from black pitched road, the entrance is quite alleviated and there is another which is shorter but narrow route through the high pine trees, and it is not a deal breaker at all, in fact I enjoyed that. the boy Lalit will provide most the assistance and helpful too.

View from the hotel is awesome. Had some difficulty reaching there it was worth the wait. Rooms were nice, had to trek a bit to reach hotel. In the name if staff only one was there for everything. Food was homely but very costly, it costs me 250 for panner & 180 for dal. Had to tell 2 hrs beforehand for anything u wamt to eat. No fixed menu. Cant find any restaurant nearby so u hv to rely on only dat person for food. Everything was good except food service although food was good.

This homestay is little bit away from main city center. But location is too good. Peaceful and Calm Area. If you are nature loving person and want to enjoy natural beauty of simla then go for it. Owner is very calm and helpful and two guys working there is also very hardworking and Helpful. Just they have to improve there food service.. food is not so much impressive and expensive too. Overall good experience ..Thanks

Dolphin Cottage is a lovely homestay just outside Shimla. It's located close to HP University down a winding road in a small cluster of houses and offers stunning views of snow peaks. The staff is friendly, albeit a little slow! The place is a good budget getaway if you're just looking to have a quiet time close to Shimla. Remember to ask the owner for the top floor room for the best views!

Good home stay. We stayed for 03 nights. Much cheaper than hotels at shimla. But rooms are good and view from top is awesone in morning and evening. House honour is also a gentleman. Good for peaceseeker in the foothills of mountain. Only negative thing is the limited option for food and distance from market but overall worth staying to enjoy shimla visit. We liked it

If u want beautiful scenery and no crowd then it's ur place, on 5th floor no lift, no kitchen you have to order in food only, and if it's rain delivery won't be available. Taxi hardly available for this place or they charge double. Its homestay so don't accept soap, body lotion, room service like ****, its only room u can stay as owner is also working like us.

This place is really worth you to stay! you can see beautiful scenery from your room's window! i rarely post up feedback unless i really satisfied. so why not guys? the only thing is, you need to contact the owner abt the exact location. google map cant give the location precisely. have a nice holiday peeps!

Location was although little far from main city but those who want to have calm and soothing natural environment, dolphin cottages is perfect with staying at home Experience with Family. All staff was very cooperative and humble.

Amazing experience. Outside view from cottage is among best, you get in Shimla. place is well clean and maintained. only point to check out is, it's in remote area, with no shops or eateries around.

I stay in Dt:29&30 oct2017 ,ther was no way to go in the cottege.ther is being a geberal bath between two room,cased littele trouble. All over cottege is very attractive,best food,beter sarvice.
