Hotel King's

Dear Travellers, Kindly go through below before booking!!!! Below original mail quote which i have esclated to Gocare team ================================================ I need say about hotel kings tower, I have done check-in at hotel kings tower on 31-07-2016 07:30 HRS at the time I came to hotel they said rooms are full and they can allot me only at 10:00 HRS (But the standard check-in time is 08:00 AM). I accepted their request and said that no problem because we have planned for full day sight-seeing so will be back at night only and kept our bags in their reception and went for sight-seeing. Later we came back to hotel at 22:30 HRS and slept. Next day morning 01-08-2016 again we planned to go for full day sight-seeing and departed from hotel at 05:45 HRS at the time receptionist said us. Today the accommodation is full, so you will be transferred to other hotel. I asked him why we need to be moved and showed my goibibo confirmation voucher. But they refused it and said **** sufficient to us and said they have funded only Rs.****per day and they showed us their tariff plan and differentiated. We don’t have time to argue with them due to lesser time as we have booked a cruise to visit Havelock Island. I said ok, will speak once I return back to hotel and went. We came back to hotel kings tower at 20:00 HRS and we were shocked while crossing reception (lobby) they kept our bags in the reception and stopped us and said we have planned to transfer to other hotel. I asked again why and said them that this is not fair at all and called ***and said about this, but due to network issues the communication has not clear and unable to reach ***So no way for us and we went with them, they transferred us to a low class hotel (similar to lodge) = Hotel Maya and accommodated us in an A/c room. They room was small and full of paint smell as they have painted before 6 hours we entered, so if we touch doors the paint will stick. And there was frequent power cut and no backup DG sets. So you all can imagine how it will be without power and there was insects / mosquitos flying here and there. We have spent whole night without proper sleep and next day morning while we get ready to check-out we found a huge spider (may be poisonous one) top of our bag. We informed and showed the spider to the hotel supervisor. He has not replied anything about that spider and said time is up now you can check out.

The Hotel Is situated about 10 minutes away from the Airport and is a rick ride away. Ensure that you do not pay anything more than INR 60 till the hotel from the airport. The Rooms are are very neat. The property is great to stay at. The Catch is sometimes internet does not work correctly on the Island and hence Hotel inventory sync correctly and sometimes the room may get booked by 2 different people. It is best to confirm reservation in advance but even if you dont there is nothing to worry. The reason is the fact that the owner of the Hotel and his team will go great leap and bounds to ensure that you are comfortable and will put you up in a property as comfortable as this one. The great thing is they are one of the few properties that provides exceptional service. The staff is very hospitable but may forget a few things here and there but immediately do it if reminded properly. The hotel is situated on very close to Abeerdeen Bazaar which has some very good restaurants nearby. You can easily get transport till as late as 10 but it is suggested that you hire a 2 wheeler to travel around the city as it will save a lot of money. Please note that the Room facilities are exceptional at the cost you pay for it. Great interiors and an amazing and comfortable matress to sleep on after a tired day. I would easily ignore the small errors here and there for the upfront and smooth service that they give. Kudos to the team and this is highly recommended

Welcome was good by receptionist but there was a strong chemical/paint smell on entering the room and it was daily for whole one week when we were there on each entry in the room. Room service was the slowest I have ever experienced in my life as they were taking minimum 1 hour for room orders and some times more than 1 hour in food delivery but food was tasty.. Complimentary breakfast was fast with 5 minutes delivery time mainly South Indian food and was tasty too. Towels we got were dirty and even spots on the bed sheet. Request to change was responded after three days and again the washed towels that we got had hand prints and red/pink spots. Last day we got the real clean bed sheet and real clean towels. There was no remote for the Air Conditioner so only option was to turn it on or off. Check in and check out was very quick. Overall I will give on 2 Stars to Hotel Kings Tower **

The hotel rooms are really good according to the rate. if you are paying 700 odd bugs and getting such rooms. its a treat. service is quite bad. there is no restaurant. last day i had to check out and there was no one at the hotel to pick up my luggage. there was no person at the reception. so overall experience is gud.
