Lake Monarch Heritage Cottages

Good: -Beautiful and peaceful surroundings. -Clean tents. -Staff members. Bad: -It is a govt property and not owned by Lake Monarch, which is not well maintained, like other govt properties. Lake Monarch built the tents on it. -Tents are clean however lack basic amenities, like geyser or a hot water supply. You will need to ask for hot water and they will supply hot water in buckets. They also have cottages and they can offer one of the cottages to use for hot water bath. -Since it is a govt property which offer adventure activities like rope sliding (which is under construction), boating etc, the people start coming by 9AM in the morning through 5PM in the evening, which might affect the peace at times. -Food is served from outside, they do not have an in-house restaurant. You would have to order food well in advance. The food is not so good (for vegetarian, not sure about non-veg). The location is a little off track so you might not feel going out for dinner. -The cottages are not so good. Experience: We did not have a very good experience here. We did not like the food. We were given a cottage to use its bathroom which had a geyser in it. It was feeling like a "dharamshala" where you have to use a common bathroom which is situated somewhere not so close to your room. The water was dirty, even after complaining, no action taken. Not many varieties in breakfast which was complementary. There is a lot to share but I am not typing anymore. The overall experience was not so good, they need to improve a lot.

Too costly for the locality (more than 3000 RS spent only for food) that also for lunch and dinner 5. Clean Environment and peaceful at night times and early morning the lake view is very good ( lake was covered with mist) 6. Hot at afternoon, cant able to stay in rooms 7. Room service was very slow need to wait for more than an hour even if you ask for coffee 8. Restaurant is very good but the food is only in Kerala style (no idly or dosa we can found) 9. Safety for couples trustable 10. For One day stay its good, but more than a day it was boring 11. Snakes will be there at nights under the tents, so need to be very careful when you come outside at nights 12. For money its costly including food and room rent for 2 days 13. Camp fire was really good enjoyed 14. Overall experience is above average i can say 3.2/5 that also for only one day of stay. Thank You Arun Maheedhar V Coimbatore....

This is the best place to visit in Wayanad interms of stay. Zip line and kayaking is done in this resort’s premises itself. Tents are just fabulous. Totally worth it is. Come Out of tent and you see a lake 5metres infront of u and mountain range covering the lake.. what else someone need in a trip. Parking facility is very good. Amenities includes breakfast and camp 🔥. Must Vists!! Thank You Victor (Manager of Resort) for your assistance and time.

Tents door opens right to the lake, which gives an amazing view. Tents are very well maintained and the entire campus is maintained well including the lawn and the garden. Service was good too and the staff are friendly. Overall had a pleasant stay. Advice for the hotel guys is to add more variety in their food menu especially their authentic foods.
