Lazum homestay, flavour of an authentic homestay at Halpoo.If you are coming through Siliguri station get any Kalimpong bound bus from the adjacent bus stand(ticket ₹110).Bus is available in every half an hour.Bus will take exactly 3 hours to reach Kalimpong bus stand.From there you have to hire cab.This property is beyond Ramdhura just below the ichche gaon upward turning. Landmark is Mount view primary school.From Kalimpong reserved omni may charge ₹700 and shared jeep(available from Delhi store jeep stand) ₹50 per person.It will take almost 30 minutes to reach the place.Host Lakpa Doma,the smiling lady will receive you from the road.You have to descend down some 25 stairs.Now they can accommodate maximum 8 guests.We two were given a room.Hosts tried their best. June is not the proper time to view mountain.Naturally we missed it. Actually this place is only for nature lover and for natural people.Lazum is the name of the older girl child of the land owner. And they treat the guests as their own people.Mr Sumam, the lease holder guided us every time whenever we conacted him.Room is as shown in picture.Almost new property. It is little off beat spot. Compared to Ramdhura,may be view is not that much beautiful.But during night time when we sat in front of room, from the veranda we have seen the little lights are glowing from the opposite hills.I can’t express the feeling.We have cherished the silence of the valley, chirping of the birds and most importantly affection loving and caring hosts.Last but not the least food is simple yet superb.We have no complain.Last night my wife was unwell. Both Lakpa and her humble husband Jiten took care of us.God knows whether we will meet again or not. Till then good bye. Thanks and regards Suman sir, Jitenbhai,Lakpa bahen and goibibo. everything

The location of the property is excellent and easy to locate also. Most of the tourist attractions were nearby. The owner's behavior was also good. Both the husband and wife were so co-operative and helpful. The food served was also good. It was safe enough in the property to stay. The guests can lock their rooms while going outside.
