we, me and my wife, visited srinagar during 20 april 2016 to 24 april 2016. all 4 days we stayed at the house boat new Zealand which is in the middle of the famous dal lake. it was very nice experience. the houseboat stay was very comfortable as the houseboat owner and staff was very cooperaive and supportive. they guided us rightly for many things. the to and from from road to houseboat was free and unlimited. the breakfast was nice... the maharashtrian poha in kashmiri tomatto and vegetables was really nice followed by the kashmiri tea Kehwa - the aromatic energy drink. we tasted the dinner in kashmiri chicken in their home style preparation... it was awesome... To add to this taste, we tried the mutton seek kabab and kashmiri yakhini and gostaba along with nice kashmiri roti which we tasted from a sailing small boat trader on the dal lake. awesome taste.... you will not get this raw taste in hotels also... hope this review will help you people as this is from a traveller....

I stayed in House Boat Newzealand for 2 night and it was a memorable stay for me. First thing that I would like to talk about this hotel is the hospitality, clean ness and overall location. This houseboat is located in Golden Lake, the maim area of Dal Lake.This is very well maintained and beautiful house boat. Rooms are very well decorated. This house boat should be perfect for couple. The view of dal lake from Balcony is spectacular and mesmerizing. Foods are also very nice and testy. Hotel manager and service boy is very good in behavior. Overall it was really memorable for me for staying in House Boat Newzealand

The experience was a bit terrifying, I was with my wife who was expecting and 2 daughters aged 5 and 2. This was our first visit to Kashmir and we had a lot planned, the stay at this hotel changed it all. The heater was not proper and I was told that I would have to pay extra if needed another heather or electric blanket. The water was never hot but warm sometimes. My small daughters would start to shiver in the morning and no proper power backup. The food was not that good but eatable and you don't have much of a choice or menu. Overall, not a good place to be in especially if you are with Family.

A stay on a Kashmir houseboat was an unforgettable experience, with stunning views of the lake, beautifully carved wooden interiors, exceptional hospitality from the friendly staff, and delicious authentic Kashmiri cuisine served right on the water.even the surroundings were very pleasant.The seating area was awesome.we had flight in early morning.at 5 am in the morning, Nasir bhai helped and called the shikara also in early morning for transport.food was homemade and satisfying.overall great experience. 😊👍 everything x perfect 💕

We just returned from our Kashmir trip and one of the highlights was our stay at Newzealand houseboat. The rooms are really pretty with a decent size bathtub. The service was impeccable. They have a little boutique from where i ended up buying a lot of traditional souvenirs. The owner Mr.Shahid personally came and met every guest which we rarely get to see these days. the on boat staff Nasir never said a no for anything. Wish we had stayed an extra night but overall would definitely recommend it to all our friends.

Had a really awesome experience at boat. The owner Gulaam Gul has given us very warm welcome. The entire staff is very helpful, available every time to attend. It's one stop for arranging entire trip at a best in class prices with hassle free procedure. All in all a very nice place with value to money.

We stayed at houseboat swan which we understand is part of the same group. Excellent stay. Nice ambience and interiors. The locatkon within the Dal Lake is excellent. They have land piece within the lake in which the dining is there. Overall a very happy experience

Good house boat... Lovely location.. Two gentlemen were well on service... Only concern they charged ****** per day for hot AC. May be they can add this money on their tariff. Otherwise everything was excellent

If you want to enjoy houseboats you should stay here nice view nice decoration staff was polite. From ghat number 9 pickup and drop boats provided by them and free of cost. AC and geyser working in condition.
