NIRMAN- Beach Homestay

A Peaceful Stay with a Cautionary Tale.I recently visited Jagannath Puri for darshan, and my stay at this hotel was truly heartwarming. The owner was incredibly helpful, polite, and supportive throughout. The room was neat, well-maintained, and located very close to the beach—with a beautiful sea view right from the window. He also guided us with local directions and made sure we felt completely safe and comfortable. I’m truly grateful for his assistance and highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Puri.However, I want to share an important warning based on my experience. While arriving in Puri, I was approached by a few auto agents who claimed they would show me good rooms at cheap rates. They also said they could give us a full tour of Puri. They insisted we ride with them, saying we could deny the room if we didn’t like it. But once we went with them, they showed us 2–3 below-average rooms, already quoting high prices (around ₹2000) due to their commissions.When we tried to walk away, they started following us. Even after we booked a room, they followed us to the hotel and falsely told the owner they had brought us. They then demanded commission from the owner, and when he refused, they turned aggressive and even threatened us—asking us for money too. Thankfully, we stood firm and did not pay them anything.My sincere advice to all visitors: Do not fall into the trap of auto or street agents, no matter how convincing they sound. Instead, prefer booking rooms online and explore the city at your own pace. I would personally recommend renting a bike in Puri—it's economical, safe, and gives you full freedom to explore without any hassle.

Here is my experience as on Dec, 2024 at Nirman Beach Homestay: We had booked 3 rooms ( one with front seaview and 2 side sea views). Pros: 1. Position of building, 24x7 internet facility. 2. Room condition was okay. 3. AC working. 4. Ganesh ji and Manoranjan ji are both awesome people. Cons: Kitchen facility was not matching as shown in video. We were surprised when they said about rental charges for Utensils, Gas, Drinking Water initially. I have to mention about Pragyan ji who has helped us immensely on solving issues. We were charged for Gas facilities though.

Beach facing balcony. Neat and Clean rooms and washroom. The hosts were very cooperative and friendly. Smooth checkin and checkout process. Loved the beach facing balconies. Perfect place to sit and have a chat with friends at night. There was complete privacy and no disturbance

The hotel was in a great location, If you're traveling with a furry friend, you'll be happy to know that the NIRMAN-Beach homestay is pet-friendly. The room is good and clean , and the owner is very friendly .
