The receptionist is ill mannered and nosy and quite hyper to be honest! Had an episode lasting couple of hours! The owners however, were quite friendly and mature. Foreigners with Indian friends are not allowed to check in! Indians are restricted from hanging out with foreigners in common place! Racism against one's own race is rare but here you might find it.

superb experience.. very nice place .. common area is very good. you can sit there.. lots of foreigners visit this backpackers hostel.. quite awesome

Room was shobby. location was easy to find. management was very poor and the person on the reception was rude. it was a pre-paid booking and still he was asking for money. after 15-20 minutes of arguments he verified it in his details and allowed me for check-in.
