Travellers be aware kovalam beach is far from the hotel whereas it says very near its almost 15-20 mins long walk. Its a homestay not a hotel with receptionist cum watchman cum guard and no owner at place. No tea, breakfast, lunch, dinner facility. There are lots of hotels exactly near the beach at same rates with all facilities.
It's location is such that you can't get 1% idea of exotic kovalam beach.
Just reach the beach and book the hotels of beach view lots of options....
