We had a decent stay at Palace on ganges! The staff were helpful.The rooms are incredibly expensive, and I honestly don't think they justify the price tag. The hotel's location was good, within easy walking distance of Assi Ghat. The name of the hotel is not justified, as it is not located on the Ganges and is instead surrounded by other hotels, a parking lot, etc.

Let's start with the good. the location - just a few meters away from Assi Ghat where the morning Ganga Arti takes places. This cannot be seen from the hotel.The rooms were not well kept and were pretty dirty in my opinion. The flush in my room wasnt functioning and it was not fixed after complaining. The reception staff are rude and are always looking for ways to make money out of you. As a solo traveller to Varanasi I had booked heritage level lower for two days and I had an amazing stay. the ambience, the hospitality was very good and It was a relaxed visit. Food was also good and quick service. the premises is close to Assi ghats and I could witness the morning and evening aarti without any hassle. Mr Shashi at the reception was very helpful and cordial. It was a great experience and I will recommend this hotel anytime and VFM( value for money).

Not worth as per the room tariff. Even they have no parking we have to pay and park.Not worth the money paid. I will not recommend at this tariff to anyone..They are taking advantage of the location.

It is not worth more than 1000 rs. don't waste your money. the rooms have smallest washroom that I have ever seen. The linens are dirty. Room and washroom has no ventilation. They are charging the rate of 5 star property for this dharmashala. Staff is rude. We reached early around 10 am and asked for checkin. They showed us a very small room on top floor (like servant's room) and said only this room is available. we denied and they said room can't be given before 2 pm. we roamed around with ...more
