Will not recommend to families, there is only 1 watchman after 8pm to morning 8 am. No room service, no food. No reception ....

Overall it was a comfortable stay.But the Food was bit expensive.Even though it's a old building, the rooms are spacious enough.7-8km from Margoa.Colva and Benaulim are the nearby beaches where the crowd is less.It's difficult find public transport,better to hire a two wheeler there.A good thing is we got the two wheeler on a phone call from San Joan holiday home.They dropped the vehicle and collected back from the hotel itself.We paid the amount in cash while hiring the vehicle.Overall, It's was good

location is good, 5 km from Madgaon railway station and few good beaches in the vicinity like Colva, Benaulim and Verka.
What i missed was lack of kitchen and related facilities.
Another thing that came as a shock was unavailability of internet during my stay and despite assurance by the mgmt the issue was not settled.

This place is a perfect get away for a family. Rooms are 1BHK flat with AC in the bedroom, TV in living room. It also has a refrigerator. Only negative point is the hotel's kitchen is closed and I had to order from outside, else this is a pocket friendly place to stay with family.

Our stay was pleasant at San Joao. The manager and staff were very kind and helpful.Rooms were clean but furniture is old. Have a nice swimming pool too. They don't cook food inside but can arrange, haven't tried though. Will also help you with renting bike,car. So overall a good experience.
