Awesome stay at the Surya heritage property in Kannur. Extremely hospitable and polite staff. Special thanks to the resort manager Mr Manu Matthew and front office staff, Ms Shilpa who ensured we were properly taken care of. Well maintained nice rooms and a cute property.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was fantastic. Room and washroom were clean and hygienic. Bedding was super comfy. Decors were traditional and soothing. Property located in the heart of the city yet quite and serene. I will visit again whenever possible. The location is ideal for someone on a business trip.

It's an excellent heritage hotel, rooms are neat and clean. The service is good and the quality of food for breakfast was good. However, there is no travel desk at the hotel, though they arrange vehicles from other agencies and provide the same to you. But those travel agencies are not transparent with their charges and hence, the customers do not get a clear idea of the Car hire charges which will be levied by the Car hire agencies.

Everything is good, except for how dark the hotel is. There are opaque wooden windows all over the property which cannot be opened bec of air-conditioning. There are no fans in the rooms as a result of which the property does not get any daylight at all. We asked for a pedestal fan in our room so that we can open the windows and let daylight in. The staff is good although in many ways (esp in the restaurant) they seem to be figuring their way around. If you have senior citizens with you (or persons with limited mobility), make sure you ask for a ground floor room.
