The only thing good abt it is, the location.
The room we booked was standard AC room, the room supposedly had Ac, we never used since wasn't needed, Geyser wasn't working, phone dead, washroom was below average, pot seat cover broken, and hanging, the other rooms were booked around us by a group, the kids and adults kept haunting the hallway shouting and disturbing so bad that we couldn't sleep ( i understand this isn't in hotels hand, however a complaint was made, the hotel took no action).
overall, on that price, this wasn't a very good option!

Positives :
1. In between market.
2. Car parking is there.
3. Lift is there.
4. Breakfast option is there
Negatives :
1. Too much crowded
2. Poor management, even after prior request before coming to hotel we had to wait for half an hour to get the room ready.
3. The bed-sheet and pillow covers are not clean at all.
4. The washroom door was also not closable also.
5. The exhaust in washroom was also not working.
6. Bucket and mug in washroom was also not clean.

This was my 3rd stay at Red shield nd they have never disappointed me. Whenever I visit kolkata I make sure to stay here.... Lovely location for family & couple with ample parking space,.... Choose this hotel if u want to do shopping at new market (walking distance) .

Not much comfortable.
Too many bed on same room.
No dine in area.
It will be really good, if maintain cleaning and separate beds with partition.
