We had been to Kancheepuram mainly for visiting temples and for shopping. A big advantage about TTDC is that it is near to the centre of the city (about 1 Km). Rooms are quite old but kept neat and clean. Limited items for breakfast. The biggest problem is that it does not have a full fledged restaurant. You have to select from a few items and order them upfront for Lunch and Dinner. Also there are no good restaurants near by. We found a good restaurant opposite to Prakash Silk Sarees shop on the main road. You can try it.

My stay is a mixed bag. The rooms were absolutely perfect – clean, spacious, and well-maintained. I have to commend the housekeeping staff for their excellent work. The staff at the reception and throughout the hotel were also very nice and helpful, always with a smile and ready to assist.
However, the breakfast experience was quite disappointing. The quality of the food was poor, and the quantity was insufficient. More importantly, the utensils were not clean, which is a serious concern. This really brought down the overall experience.

Horrible stay , Created a Nightmare not good for families , stray dogs roaming in groups in the property premises .
Full of mosquitoes and dust . Even bed bugs are available in large numbers along with tree lizards.
Food can't be digested with such the worst food I have had in my life .
Train noise from 5 am till 12 pm.
No amenities like a kettle tea coffee kit .

Stay was good, but limited options. No option for lunch and dinner available in hotel though a restaurant is available which serves only breakfast. location wise it's approximately 1.5 to 2km from temple but restaurants are within walking distance..
