Mystique Ville

This was the second time I stayed there. Needless to say I came here again as I absolutely loved the place. This time around I started my trip by finishing all my sightseeing in Ooty, Pukalani, Connor and I stayed at Rainbow Cottage and Night shade Inn for a total of 5 days. That's because these are located in the main town so sightseeing was easy from there. Then for the last 2 days of my trip I came to Mystique Ville. This place is a paradise. About 20 kms down from Ooty on the 15th bend out of 36hairpin bends on Kalahari, you will find this beautiful Victorian style resort. On each you come here you won't feel like going anywhere else. It's d only resort on the hill n maintained very well.. You wake up to the sound of countless birds and sleep with the clouds over you. It's an experience in itself. There is a tea estate where you can go trekking right till the top to reach the road and on the way see many birds especially if you go early in the morning. There is Mr Bala who also arranges these trips. Charges to be discussed with him. However my husband n me did the trekking on our own. Food is a bit overpriced but tasty. Swimming pool is available but charged 250per person per hour which is a bit too much. Campfire and room fire also charged additional. We took the room fire as it was raining very heavily. But thanks to the rains the next day we saw a small waterfall from our window. The waterfall is on the right side of the resort n easily seen. The vintage rooms are doing best as they offer d view of the valleys.

This is a gem of a find. The location is just spectacular! Away from the hustle-bustle of a touristy hill station, the views are just out-of-the-world - with a waterfall (Kalahatti falls) on one side, mountains on the other, and a valley view in between. Go for the vintage room if you want to enjoy the views (Pro tip: ask for Room ). You wake up to birds chirping and there is a constant (but not loud) sound of the waterfall. They also have an infinity pool and a beautifully maintained lawn! The hotel is a 150-year-old heritage property with its own private tea plantation. You need to have access to your transport though as public transport doesn't serve this part of Ooty. As this is far away from the city, the majority of the tourist attractions are relatively far away (when compared to hotels in the city center).

we had a nice stay at this property. by and large,it remains the same as before. i believe the staff is relatively new this time, at least a few of them. there are a few things which have gone down a bit and the prime among them is that the dining room has been relocated to a relatively beautiful position, but it is now far away from the kitchen.. so the services have gone down very significantly and in the evening, you do not actually have even a waiter in the dining area. another thing which i found lacking this time is that the linen was not as good as before. the thing that stands out like always is the pleasantness of the staff, they are extremely cordial people, very respectful and supportive.

Nice hotel... Reachability is little difficult better if hotelier mentions proper road map it took me around 2-3hrs to reach from ooty bcoz everytime navigation was re-routing also there is a police check post where entry is allowed only if u show hardcopy of travel voucher not the printed one the orginal from hotel though hotelier spoke to police n sorted out later but definitely reaching this place is quiet a challenge.. Hotel ambience is very nice ..Rooms are big n spacious .. Approach road to hotel from main road is very bad hotelier should either tar it or level it properly
