The Ocean Park Beach Resort

We booked 1 week in advance for 2 nights. 31st to 2nd * We got here at around 6pm on the 31st and we were told to wait because our room is being cleaned. I was shocked because we came late and normally check in is at 11am and everything should have been cleaned already.the guy at the reception said all the rooms were full that's why. We waited for about 15min and we were shown our room.(A standard non ac room)the room they gave us was a very smelly dirty broken room. I refused to stay there and asked then to show me another room they did and it had the same qualities as the previous one. They had allowed more people to the hotel and they quickly had to clean a room which wasn't meant to be used for us since they didn't think we will be coming. That was very outrageous* The pictures on the internet looked nicer so I told them there is no way I will sleep in that room. That's not what the deal was. They said we had to pay 5000rupees more for the Las room left.that was ridiculous. Later they came and said we had to pay 3000 more for a bigger room but we said the room is too big we don't need that much space and so he said we can pay 2000 more but then no breakfast. We had no choice we were tired and took the deal. Mind you in the bigger room it smelled as well but it was better when the fan was on and it was dusty and the sockets weren't functioning properly. Any who when we were checking out on the 2nd they offered us a started non ac room for 700 rupees per day with sea view it didn't smell. That was the room we were suppose to have the day we arrived. This is the worse managing skills ever. *

Please read my review before selwct this hotel. It worst experience for my trip specifically in kovalam. We offering ac room, also we will pay for it and hotel was provide us ac room but remote is not working, then 3 times we aware abot remot at reception, they can't provide it. Finally we switchoff the ac from main line becouse we cant stay in 16 degree of default ac temp.next day they offer me payment for 1 day utilization of ac.we can't pay for it Totally fake... Room : not clean, toilet flush not working, in evening hot water not available, no tv available, no telephone, no staff coming for cleaning, Taxi:for taxi they can't provide accommodation. Breasfast :good For foreigner stay they provide good accommodation, facility and all that. Total money waste.

Hotel is nice but only suitable for family (foreigners) u can't even play music there come on man is this a tourist place or library u can't talk louder can't even put something on the floor bcoz they will charge extra for cleaning also if u r planning to visit kovalam don't think of this hotel it will ruin everything (bachelor's ) may be suitable for fmly one more thing they won't treat u like guests worst experience ruined everything can't even enjoy a little bit there

hotel was not good for Indian people because they only serve foreigners people. Service also not good and room also not have any facility like intercom and T. V. Totally different types. Also break fast was not good and served limited quantities SO please don't go and book this hotel, not value for money, you will definitely lost your money. we faced so many things that's why I m tell you.. please don't book. if book then cancelled it and try some another hotel...
