There's a distinctively superhero theme to the brunch at Mazina on a Saturday, where Spiderman and Superman are let loose on the bouncy castle and Wii stations and where kids are kept amused with a magic show and children's entertainers. There's also a competition for the best costume. Food includes an international buffet and carving stations, as well as dishes especially for superheros.
Revenge is all your's
Deep within the Tower of Poseidon at Atlantis' Aquaventure waterpark, you'll be looping the loop down the 166 metre Poseidon's Revenge. With two slides side by side, why not race your family members to the bottom – the clock will record your speed. Then, staying in the Tower, the whole family can come together in one raft and whizz through the belly of the Aquaconda. This giant sea serpent of a slide is the largest waterslide in the world. But watch out – the serpent will swallow you at 35km/h before spitting you out!

It's snowing!
It never ceases to amaze people, but see it (and ski it) for yourself – a snowy mountain in the desert! After a morning on the beach, escape the sun and swap your flip flops for ski boots at Ski Dubai within Mall of the Emirates, Dubai's award-winning shopping mall. Here you'll discover a snowy mountain resort with a five ski runs, tube slides, toboggan runs, a colony of Snow Penguins, a zip line and the obligatory alpine café – ideal for sipping hot chocolate in minus four degrees.
Put your foot down
Experience the thrill of burning rubber, speeding steel and roaring engines at the spectacular Dubai Autodrome. Seven-year-olds and up can hop in a Honda 390cc kart to discover the thrill of racing around in the 1.2km kartdome track with its 17 challenging corners. Ride the desert dunes

Swim with sharks
You only have to be eight years old to come face to face with the world's ultimate predator. Sharks await in The Dubai Mall's 10-million-litre Dubai Aquarium. Either opt for the cage snorkeling experience or, certified divers can dive to the depths with the largest collection of Sand Tiger sharks in the world.
