Excellent hotel for those who wants to visit madurai and see major local sites by just walking. Mr Shakti the host was generous and morning complimentary breakfast was delicious. It contains idli vada dosa khicdi sambhar 03 types of chutneys with tea or coffee. Personally I will recommend coffee. It will take nearly 330 to 350 rs from airport via Ola. Don't take airport prepaid taxi as it is 420 rs. Always write Netaji road with hotel name I. E. BG residency and it will pick up address. It has restaurant at ground floor with small tiffin thali at just rs 50. So enjoy best food at no cost. Main meenakshi temple is 600 m away 15 minutes walk. Another famous temple of lord Vishnu is also 15 minutes away on foot. Naick palace is 1.8 km away though meenakshi temple is half way. Gandhi museum is 20 minutes by auto. Central bus stand is 30 minutes away with 150 rs charge on auto. Except you. Might not like front photos of hotel as it is in market so do not misguide yourself as rooms are clean washroom is also good with wifi which actually works and simple people who will actually guide you for your best time utization. Near to jewelry market so ideal for shopping too. The best part is extremely cost effective and goabibo has providede best price. It is generally recommended for business travelers though I recommend for couples and family who want best and cost effective option I recommend it personally. It saves your travel time and logistics cost too. So go and book this hotel don't hesitate

Excellent stay for the price. - Bathrooms were cleaned and water available 24×7 - Rooms had adequate spacing for 2 people - Staff was very supportive - Food was excellent and Breakfast was included - Supportive Staff - Cheap and affordable and very near station - Restro in lower floor due to which food available all the time

Bg residency is decent place which is very near to Meenakshi temple around 500 mts away, also it's near to Gandhi museum, tirumala nayakar palace , and periyar bus stand . break fast and lunch are good . hotel workers are polite . place which near to all the places

Hotel room was very neat... Good fragrance in the room. Well maintained.. around 5 min walkable distance from temple.. staff was co-operative.. Next time when I go to madurai I ll stay in same hotel...

The BG Residency hotel is located 5min walking from the Meenakshi Amman temple. They have a restaurant in the street level, where you have breakfast. The rooms were quite small
