Central Hotel & Restaurant-Main Market Pahalgam

Location: Very Good,Owner/reception behaviour: Cordial,hotel room is below average at price. individual stairs height are more than average height of stairs, bathroom was not clean and maintained, furniture in the room was broken, room was porous, you can hear another room occupant talking from your room, no slipper was provided initially, however on request slipper was provided. The bed sheet was torn initially when entered in the room, however on request, the bedsheet was changed, and the room was not spacious as per price. one towel & one small soap was provided.Hot water was available, which was a good thing, considering the weather of Pahalgam.There was a prevalent light cut problem, and when light cuts, only one bulb can be lit up by inverter, you can't charge even your mobile.Only positive thing was that the hotel is at the heart of the city market pahalgam and good vegetarian restaurants are nearby.

First of all, it's not near Aru Valley. it's in Mason market. Room is very small and very difficult to accommodate 2 adults and 2 children. Food is buffet only and very expensive. I paid for Front facing room but the hotel gave me back facing and no view room, after complaining, I was told is already night and you will checkout in the morning, you won't see any view anyways. This is why reduced star rating. Having said this, The room has a bed with inbuilt heater, this is good facility as at night the temperature really goes down. Extra bed was arranged but somehow we got that bed in small room. Got water was running throughout my stay there.

Food was good and served fast. Hotel was not luxurious or hifi but all family needs were met and that was at reasonable price. wifi was there. mountain view was there although some local huts were also visible. lidder river was at walking distance. shopping market and pony ride cabs etc everything was available. as a family my wife complaint that the hotel is not posh and we had a quarrel but finally we stayed there although I felt guilty of spoiling mood of my wife

hotel outer look is not good you feel guest house feeling but room are good they looks nice and clean hotel location is the best part it in the Pehalgam market area which is good only problem is they don't give u geyser option they have fix time for hot water otherwise it's best you can chill in market area after relaxing
