Kee-Rong Cottages | Rooms & Restaurant

It is a new establishment, situated bit far from the main locality, need to cross the river bridge to literally find it out. The hotel is situated about 20 yards from the road which you have to cross through a narrow road. Presently there are 6 cottages. 3 in 1st floor and another 3 in 1st floor. As we have stayed in one room in the 1st floor would mention about that particular room only. The room is reasonably spacious with modern washroom and is appropriately clean.The best thing is, all the 1st floor rooms have balcony at the front and the back. The hotel is situated in such a fantastic location from where you can have 360 degree view of Lachung. The snow clad mountains, water-fall, and the river Lachung Chu...altogether a mesmerizing beauty of the nature one can observe just sitting at the corridor. The hotel is clean, support staff are very cooperative, gentle and good, especially Albert and Santosh with Mr. Palden (located at Gangtok). The restaurant is ultra modern with modern facilities which is unexpected in a remote place like Lachung. The food quality is excellent...Dishes prepared by Albert are very tasty and just unforgettable.Overall it was a very nice experience staying in Kee-Rong Cottages.The only drawback is frequent power-cut which they need to improve, though they have generator facility. This new property has enough of potential and people over there are quite prepared to be one of the best accommodations in Lachung. worst experience . no heater, no hot water in bathroom as geyser was not working, no hot bag also for bedroom. so expensive and not worth staying in this hotel with such price. even staff were rude. for bonfire/camp fire extra money was charged. that is also 8 wood cost Rs. 500

It was really a Great Experience staying at Kee Rong. The property is new, well maintained, a bit inside and have narrow access. But it has a Breathtaking view of the mountains from the Balconies. The Food is Buffet and it's tasty. The staff is very polite too.

Latching is a beautiful place, where ever u stay u will find yourself surrounded by high peaks of mountains. This cottage has really nice ambience, quite homely environment. nice clean room, very nice attendants. ,just at the bank of latching river.
