UNSAFE Not at all recommend, the owner is very ill mannered and unprofessional. He abused me and my family verbally and also tried to attack me physically. It is not at all save as the owner gave me life threates dint allow my car to leave and was threatening to call local gunda.. I tried calling local police station but couldn't reach unfortunately.. 100 number dosnt work at the time of need....when I reached the hotel there was no one in the property to receive us. Mind my word, I had the .. experience ever in my life.. First of all tou wil be Wasting 500-600 just to reach from bus stand to this place and back to bus stand. This is true what I am telling you, we werw watching tv and it was literally just 10 pm and as there is only 2-3 interconnected rooms although tv was not on high volume, the manager took out the fuse and the light was gone in our room and on top of that manager mr kumaran kept his phone off whole night. Awesome place with peaceful surroundings. It has a great view from the first floor. Mr.Kumaran is very helpful and courteous. Location is a little far so keep that in mind while booking. If you want to have a quiet and peaceful stay with good home-cooked breakfast book this place.

This was an unique experience. It's not that typical hotel. You would feel as if you're staying at some friend's house there. Mr Kumaran is all-in-one. He & his wife run the show! Both are exceptionally helpful, courteous. Excellent location, very neat & clean and homely tasty food.. I enjoyed everything there. it was well maintained. nice cottage..bit difficult to find cottage.just search for fun city properties and u will reach kumaran cottage.for me it was within my budget. if it is within **for ground floor room then its best to chose.dont expect much but everything goes peacefully starting from their watm welcome .however . i dont recommend this if you are coming with old people as it may be difficult for them to walk on that road..location makes us pleasant. too cold..owner treats us very well..f ...more

Room is very basic with bed and tv (but very neatly maintained). Washroom is unexpectedly spacious(big). Breakfast is OK Ok (not that tasty,genuinely :P) . Call it good or bad, but location is on a hill. You get a great view but you need to walk uphill for around 750m to 1km to reach hotel(but if you own a vehicle that may not be an issue). The location is awesome, just at the end of a cliff overlooking lush greenery and plantations. Window view and balcony view is breathtaking, you can see the nearer hills and the distant niligiri mountains range. Within 4 kms of bus and train stations, but auto fare is costly in ooty so best take a bus till fun city junction and walk up the slope if you like walking, or hire a car for the entire day. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was one of the best we have found. Kumaran Sir is a nice person. He helped us when we needed.

Mr. Kumaran and his wife are awesome people. Their hospitality was excellent and his wife's cooking was worth mentioning. Rooms and toilets were so clean. I gave 5 rating for cleanliness, hospitality and food. we have been to ooty so many times and visited all the tourist places there. This was our first anniversary and we just wanted to spend some time peacefully together away from all the noises and people of the city. This was an excellent option for tat. This place is located around 800 m from the ooty-conoor road and the ambience is so silent that I hear only the nearby mini waterfall sound. such a stress relieving trip for us . Thanks a lot Kumaran...

very good budget hotel located in funcity - coonoor road- ootty.location also good all major attractions with in 3-5 km. What an amazing experience staying at Kumarans Cottage. Mr. Kumaran is very humble and nice guy. We are grateful to him for wonderful stay and mouthwatering breakfast. Room and bathroom were sparkling clean. There was bad weather when we visited. Zomato was not also available. Then Mr. Kumaran went to the hotel and packed dinner for us.. Thank u so much Mr. Kumaran. :) Wonderful stay.. amazing scenery from the first floor

Clean rooms, clean bathrooms. Run by a very hospitable couple. Well maintained property. Complimentary breakfast made by the wife which is really good. Served with a hot beverage. The last 500 meters of the road is off-road but not too bad. Hot water is available in the morning hours between 6 to 10 AM. In case you want to stay in, Swiggy and Zomato deliver to the cottage. Worth the price specially for the scenery.

Awesome cottage with 5 star treatment. Mr Kumaran and family was very supportive and proactive. The place is nice for family with green lawns, where breakfast is served in the greens and mountain. Highly recommended.

Too good experience. Behavior of the host was top notch. Host was there 24*7 whenever there is any request. Home food is there prepared by Host wife and food is available as per your choice and timing- super tasty
