Well actually i have never stayed at a hostel. I am more of a hotel kind of person. Until this trip. I was searching through available options to stay in Goa. I chanced upon this hidden gem that is located far away from the chaos of baga calangute anjuna areas of Goa. The price which i paid for the booking was so less that i was little apprehensive about it. I thought okay lets check out the property once and if wont like it, will check out immediately. I went to their place, was greeted by a gem of a person named Deepak casually dressed in t shirt abd shorts and also the one who happens to own the property. He explained to me about this hostel concept. His only insistence about the stay was "dont stay in your room, come out and talk to other people, you will enjoy the stay more. " I can't thank him enough for this advice as this is the first time that i enjoyed the stay more than the beaches. They have a really good property. You are free to cook your meals. If you dont feel like cooking, you can order something sumptuous from their menu like i did. Also you can meet people from different nationalities, all staying together like friends. I went there as a stranger but checked out as a friend to the hotel staff and Deepak. We had really funny conversations till the wee hours. It was so good that you have to be there to feel it. In the end. My suggestion is that if you are travelling to Goa, come and discover this beauty of a property. You will be amazed that a stay could be so wonderful. This stay changed the notions in my mind about traveling. Now next time i am in Goa i am heading straight to this property along with my friends to have the wonderful 2 a. m. conversations with my hosts.!!!!!! In the end a big shout out to Rachna the Bartender who possesses awful skills in bartending but is gem of a person, and also Shree who has a confusing first name. Lastly do meet a Sardarji from Nepalππ Take my word and stay there. You will be as convinced as I am to visit again.
Honestly, this was a last-minute booking because of the peak season in Goa, everything being either super expensive or fully booked. Booked this hostel with a heavy heart because didn't know how it would turn out. The first day felt like "where did I come?!" As it turned out, after 7 nights stay, I just didn't want to leave. Extended my stay, came back from South Goa, and stayed again at the same hostel, different room. The hostel is pretty okay, there's nothing much to stay for, except the amazing bunch of people who stay there and become as you know them for years. The food is amazing, Kalpesh and his wife are such excellent cooks. I came alone and went with so many friends, memories and of course, numbers haha. Going to stay here again whenever I come again, probably soon ;) As a woman traveller, I was a little skeptic about mixed dorms - but after a day l, everything went out of the window. It all came and went so naturally, I adapted to it very smoothly, and mostly because of the fellow travelers staying there too, all men. Its a great experience as a traveller, because it makes you learn so many things about others without any biases, you try living in a coexistence.
The property is located in Mandrem which away from the hustle bustle of North Goa and is peppered with beautiful beaches and cafes. Property is well managed and kept clean and tidy and the owners are welcoming. They also have a restaurant which has decent food which is not very expensive. It is located in a slightly isolated place so you can enjoy the cool breeze at the terrace pool.
conveniently located and extraordinarily managed, this hostel in mandrem will set the mood. with an in the house cafe and bar, the food and drink necessities are fulfilled. tidy and spacious rooms with large balconies and extra large common areas is the deal. peaceful and airy environment. plus they have a large room on the terrace for people willing to work.
If you're looking for a little adventure, not uncomfortable sharing common spaces and comfortable adapting to new environments moustache hostel has all the makings of a great space. We took the private room and we're happy with the fact that the kitchen was well stocked and all basic amenities available, staff were friends and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.
This was my first time staying at a hostel and it felt safe and good. The dorms are very clean. The kitchen is equipped with the essentials. Most importantly the washroom is big and clean and well aired. Residents meet in the cafe over music and games. If you are planning to stay nearby to the Arambola beach, this is a good choice.
It's a good property in an isolated area in Mandrem but you don't need to go too far for anything. They give you scooters on rent, they have a restaurant and beaches and cafes are close by. The owners are helpful and it's a good place to sit down in the evening and listen to music.
calm, peaceful, the Private ac deluxe room was clean. clean lining on the beds. fresh towels. kitchen to use. but you need to clean up the dishes after you use them. there is a water dispenser for drinking water. there is a small bar. the restaurant is closed during off seasons.
It's the best Hostel I booked a private room for 2 days then extended for a day more. it's owner Shri is a very humble and helpful person. Great location and everything is best out of best. Plz plz everyone go once there and take experience of this great place
nice place. medium far from mainstream Goa crowd but near to main road towards mandrem. Amenities too good. A/C working good. clean and friendly environment. common area big and well lit at nights too. suitable for solo and girls. locker space available.
Location was good and appropriate. Food was also good. It was franchise taken by owner and he was sweet guy. No such time boundaries there for going out and coming back. Free WiFi was available on all the floors.
Very secluded place to work and colive. I ended up extending my stay here week after week. Wifi is unreliable but both Airtel and Jio had good reception so I had no complaints personally
Excellent place. Rooms are good and well fabricated. Have a common daining area and also available food and drinks. U can socialize with the people from various part of the country.
It seems to be in the middle of nowhere as it surrounded bu fields. It provide you a good atmosphere to work. The internet is slow but overall i had a good experience.
In case you arrive in the evening, this is the site you'll be treated by. These guys just installed a indoor football table and everyone was going crazy about it.
excellent stay. Very quite and peaceful environment.room and bathroom clean and tide.food also gud .I am strongly recommend to all traveler to stay this hostel.
It is a big property in surrounded by fields with comfy beds and a kitchenette. Perfect to stay if you've to work while traveling and that too on a budget.
very good ambiance and real taste food and cool surrounding but some issues where there as there was too expensive food menu card given.
one of the best hostels to stay in. They have an amazing co working space with good internet and AC. it's best for budget travellers.
surrounding the hotel are paddy fields. it will make a great stay in the monsoons. be sure to rent a bike to get to nearby beaches.
