Paloma Backwater Resorts

Overall experience with the resort was excellent. we chose deluxe lake view room with complimentary breakfast. you will have to order the breakfast and dinner in advance so that they will prepare on time. you can order as much as you want and they prepare. dinner menu is a bit costlier we felt. Panneer butter masala was 300/- per plate.So we had dinner from nearby restaurant. the food from that restaurant was good. the resort provides a 1-hour complimentary houseboat ride .It ia not exactly a houseboat.it is a shikara boat that does not contain rooms. houseboat has rooms and shikkara boat does not have. that's the only difference. The complimentary ride provided by the hotel was well enough for us to enjoy the beauty of backwaters and to click good pictures. Attached pictures are a few of the clicks we took during the complimetary ride. the ride was superb and we enjoyed very much clicking photos. The only problem we faced was with the road to the resort which had no street lights and the road was full of pot holes. It was difficult for us during the night to reach the resort . otherwise we had good experience and enjoyed the backwaters view a lot. At alleppey we did not take a houseboat for a whole day and night, because it is a waste of time. the houseboat will be docked in the evening and you will have nothing to do or to roam around after 5 o clock in the houseboat. It will be boring. however, day cruise rides are available within the city . we took 3 hours ride again in backwaters from Bluemoon cruises, who charged 600//- per hour. that was good too.. i suggest not to take houseboat for a night. it is waste. we are happy at our decision of not choosing day and night houseboat cruise because, we were able to roam around the city , saw alleppey beach at leisure and went to ambalapuzha sri krishna temple. you will get freshly made banana chips and tapioca chips within the alleppey city. overall to the resort 5 stars.

Overall experience was awesome and excellent. Beautiful place Had stayed here for a day to celebrate wife's birthday. The management was helpful and staff were very courteous and ready to help. Food served was good and tasty, may seem costly but think it's fine for the class. Rooms were spacious, clean. The pool was also well managed clean. The bamboo curtains near the pool needs to be replaced. Thank you. Team Paloma for the awesome stay The watch tower, lake side view we spend walking around the resort till late night. The infinity pool was awesome.

We loved the overall experience of the hotel. Amazing food and great service. They gave us one hour complementary shikara ride which we extended for next 5 hours at a reasonable cost.. The only thing which we didn't liked was the kerla massage. The person doing the massage seems not qualified enough for the therapy. He just marinated me with massage oil without any massage pressure. The cost was also very high. Not at all satisfied by the experience. 5 on 5 for all aspects except the massage service

The Lagoon view with pool room is superb and everything is well maintained and tip-top. The location of hotel is also very nice. The staff is very courteous. However they can definitely improve on their food quality and it's authenticity considering that there are hardly any other options for the guests for good food around. Overall, me and my family enjoyed the stay very much, especially my son enjoyed the in room pool and the boating.
