The property outside is good but the rooms are very old without proper renovation, the wooden wardrobes are very very old and in deteriorating more importantly bathrooms are old and stink since the exhausts are not working properly.
The property needs proper renovation.

**great stay at bolgatty island resort**
i had a wonderful stay at bolgatty island resort. the location is peaceful and surrounded by greenery, with beautiful views of the backwaters. the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. the food was tasty, especially the local dishes. the swimming pool and garden were nice places to relax. it's a great spot for a quiet and refreshing getaway. i would love to visit again!

One of the best and top class resort at Kochi. Undertaking by KTDC. A Dutch palace converted to a resort. Traditional architecture and well maintained rooms. Its in the bank of backwater and sea. Easy accessibility of boat service. Well behaved senior staffs. Young staffs are that much impressive.

Good for budget stay and heritage experience. Perfect location to watch the sea and relax. Go for palace suites if possible (only 2 rooms) located inside the palace (around 8k). Rest of the rooms are in the entrance building like a regular hotel (sea view is expensive than garden view). The other executive rooms are adjacent to palace suite along the fort.
