the hotel proximity to the Kodaikanal lake is very good. Apart from that, it has lot of negatives,
1. bad room quality
2. bad bedsheets & furniture
3. kodai retreat is promoting using boating team with wrong pics of another hotel (that is unethical behaviour)

the property is not clean. I paid 1780 Rs. per room for 1 night for a deluxe room. The only thing that is deluxe in that room was deluxe in its name other than that, the walls are full of seepage, the bathroom is dirty, avg property.

Not clean, worst service, room is not good for as much as your payment. Don't waste your money by booking this hotel.
I have booked two rooms but both are not cleaned. Worst ever experience in my life.

We were staying at the hotel from 22nd to 24 dec 2018 with complimentary breakfast. Except for hot water availability it was value for money. Hot water was available on 24th only as the geyser wasnt working for 2 days. Service was too good.

This was my second time stay at the hotel. The staff is really good and they reserved me the same room which I got last time. There is 24 hrs hot water in the rooms at the back (down hill there is another place of this same hotel for couples, which has pleasant ambience, serene and quite peaceful with a decent view). Rooms r clean and well maintained. This is purely my opinion based on my 2 experience with this hotel. You can stay here as every location, city, hotels, lake and other site seeing places r nearby and I recommend this to others.
