I actually wanted to give 0 star bt no option available...pls dn choose dis hotel..dis will destroy ur mood... no cleanliness in room as well as in lift also....room was lyk dharmshala....u r taking nd giving facilites of 500 rupees not fair.....hygiene level is 0...i will get sick defintly...i jst wanted to make d awarness to the people who wants to book dis hotel pls dont go for dis..

1)Location of the hotel is excellent
2)very old hotel which is being renovated
3)Food etc are average
4)At this price point this is what is not expected
5)A few staff are always asking for tip very irritating

Pros:
1. Location is amazing, loved the view!
2. Food is decent.
Cons:
1. Staff and service is pathetic. The staff kept entering our rooms without permission. They sent 4 people for luggage which could have been managed by 2, just to rip us off in tips
2. Common washrooms are pathetic, very unclean.
3. Rooms are just average, room service is pathetic. Toilets are smelly and brown water flows in it.
4. Staff is rude
5. Not worth the money we paid

hotel is amazing ...but take river view rooms there are some rooms of market view that are boring .food is very good than other hotels in kashmir .river n mountain view is niece .

the hotel location is wonderful. the staff is courteous and food is also good. if u r looking for a decent stay in the main market road, this is an excellent property.

View was awesome, but the service was problematic. There was no hot water in the morning, and the room heater was turned off at night, only to be turned back on around 5:30 AM after repeated complaints. A welcome drink was not provided, and the food quality was subpar. Although an extra blanket was provided, it only arrived 30 minutes after the initial request.

Our stay at Hotel Mountview was an amazing and awesome view. Snow had turned the place as winter wonderland. We woke up with this attached view and felt like we were dreaming.
Family had enjoyed playing in snow, enjoyed lidder river and mountain views. Walkable distance to main marketplace.
