The hotel is in a very convenient location, just a 5-minute walk to the Golden Temple, which was a big plus. The service was excellent, I requested an iron and it was provided within a minute. The staff were very good and polite throughout my stay. However, there are a few areas that need improvement: the quilt was not properly cleaned, and the washroom was quite small. It was a perfect stay at Golden Lagoon. We reached Amritsar on a day when Police had cordoned off the central area around Golden Temple due to the incident with Dr Ambedkar statue and no cabs were running. Mr Prabh had got in touch with me a day before asking to contact him if a cab was required. This was great service as the hotel arranged an e-rickshaw for us when nothing was moving on the road.
