Hotel Riviera

Stayed in Riviera from 22nd to 26th July 2017 with family and relatives. It is a small but pretty boutique hotel. Awesome location; a stone's throw from thebDal Lake, and very near to the Tulip Garden, Chasmeshahi Garden, etc. Calm and quiet posh residential quarter of Srinagar. Office of IGP, CRPF just a few houses away, so fully secure area. Wooded hill on the backside and Chinar trees on the front provide great ambience. Rooms are big, and well equipped, with wooden floors. Bathrooms are spacious with big geysers. Balcony of Room 202 is great for sitting out. Dining room and lounge below is ample. The staff are very friendly, prompt, polite, and eager to serve. Manager Mr Burhan Bhat is most amiable and resposive to our smallest needs and queries. Cook Maqbool served us delicious food just as per our specific preferences. Waiter Altaf was epitome of prompt service. All of them served us with smiling faces day and night. The owner of the hotel, Mr Rouf Fazili, visited us in evenings and inquired about our comfort. A perfect gentleman, he also provided us with many valuable suggestions regarding our outstation tours. The hotel also provided us an Innova car to visit all the outlying tourist spots, with a very nice driver, Mr Rafiq. In short, we all were greatly impressed by this hotel and deeply enjoyed our 6 day stay. I would recommend this hotel to every visitor to Srinagar (provided they do not like to stay in the crowded touristy areas of Dal Gate or Old City). I shall definitely stay in this hotel only in my future trips to this beautiful city.

positive is that its near to tulip garden. Poor room service. Mr Firoz the manager very disrespectful. Owner is not bothered. Buffet breakfast horrible. We were 3 pax and asked for 4th omelette. were told it's chargeable. given only 3 tea and milk sachets per day . No complimentary mineral water. can't get a conveyance in the evening . owner speaks politely but only talking .Interior of the room is good but no hot water. front portion is under renovation. This is not a hotel but a guest house in back lane . There's nothing to be photographed of this hotel.

A very good budget hotel located in a residential neighborhood amidst lush greenery. It's just a minute walk to the Dal Lake. If you're looking to stay away from the chaotic city life your search ends here. It's more of your home away from home. The young & handsome manager Mr Burhan Bhat, takes care of all your needs. Mr Maqbool, the cook is a chef-par-excellence and Altaf, the attendant is ready to serve you anytime. Footnote: Kashmir is very safe. The warmth of the people adds more to its beauty!

Cons: Place was little difficult to find on first day. Pros: Neat and clean, spacious, very welcoming, accommodating and helping people, they helped us book a cab and the chauffeur at good rate, they were ready to advise anything we asked, very near to Dal Lake, Mughal Garden, Chashma Shahi, Pari Mahal, Tulip garden. We were just too girls and this place felt perfect too stay.
