First of all, don't be misled by the name "Dal View Resort." It is not a resort but a houseboat located on the far side of Dal Lake, away from the market and road connectivity. Staying there means you will miss out on exploring the main market and experiencing the nightlife of Srinagar, as you must return to the houseboat by 6 PM. Every time you need to cross to the other side, you must call for a Shikara, which can take 30 minutes to an hour to arrive.There are no provisions for emergencies at night, and water connectivity can sometimes stop. Power outages during the night are common, and they do not even provide an electric kettle for boiling water.For a safer and more convenient stay, avoid booking houseboats like "Dal View Resort." Instead, choose proper hotels with road access to enjoy the vibrant local markets and nightlife of Srinagar without restrictions.

It's a house being used as hotel, will not recommend anyone. This is in fact on Dal Lake and no land route available. Poor service quality and people will sale anything for money

We booked a hotel but thay give us house boat which is not comfortable for us feel very okword the conditions of house boat is too worst and food is also not good .

Nice Location & View from the Houseboat...However the Pick & Drop with Shikara from Ghat to Houseboat is payable...should be complimentary for Guests
