Hotel Samar

I had a stay of 6 nights in this Hotel and here are the pros and cons I felt. Pros:: 1. The hotel staff are extremely friendly and very helpful. Anytime day or night they were at our service. They gave us boiling water everytime we asked for. Service was absolutely perfect. 2. The hotel provided us with centrally heated rooms at no extra cost. It made the room cozy during the chilly nights. 3. Rooms were clean and hot water was available 24*7. Cons:: 1. Location is a bit away from dal lake or even lal chowk. We had to book auto everytime we had to step out. 2. The restraunt food i did not like. Though this is my personal opinion but the only night I had dinner there I had food poisoning the next day. There is another hotel(Marhaba) just beside this. The food wasmuch better there.

It was a pathetic experience nothing else.I reached at this hotel around 6:30PM in evening from Jammu.The day I checked in that day from evening to whole night I couldn't be able to connect with my family because no electricity available in hotel.No power back up,even hot water was not there.It was very difficult to survive without mobile charge,hot water etc which were not found there.Even it is outside area where you cannot get even food and groceries.Room was overcharged.This hotel Samar is not recommended for family. There was no provision of charging mobile,can't get electric catle, warm water,space is so small, location is not at all proper.I should not recommend this hotel Samar for any family travel.Atlast it was over charged.

It's a medium size hotel in Srinagar. Location is not far from city and auto/taxi is easily available in front of this hotel. It's on the road side. Don't expect too much from here as it is not a star hotel. Room was good and enough for two persons. Wash room was also not bad. We had our dinner there. Pure veg restaurant. Food was also good. Mr. Sayed who was in the reception was very friendly Overall it's 3.5 out of 5.

We had an amazing time at your hotel! The staffs were incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. The hotel is situated at a convenient location, walking distance to Dal Lake, one of the major attractions. However we booked a deluxe room, the room was not spacious enough and well decorated, otherwise the essentials were there.
