TTDC Hotel TamilNadu - Madurai II

I have planned in advance to visit Madurai with family, but due some personal circumstances I'm not able to book hotel in advance. Finally we decided to travel, but the all the hotel rates were very high. Though Goibibo I got the best offer to book a AC delux room for couple of days. As I have decided to go for long drive in my new car, we have started from Chennai at 5.40 AM and reached Madurai at 11.30 AM, we took 45 mins break in Ulundurpet for a breakfast. The weather and road good. Initially choosing the hotel in Madurai is really difficult because of parking. When I went through the reviews of hotels with parking, it is really difficult to finalise, as some hotels mentioned parking available but limited based on first come first serve. Finally choosed this hotel because of parking, though got some less stars with respect to service and cleanliness. This was running in mind till I saw my room. The hotel checkin was really smooth it took just 5 mins to provide details for their register with one original proof.I requested to provided good room, but the key was already provided, once I saw the room I was really surprised. The room was very neat and spacious, mainly the toilet was very clean, only thing the wash basin was placed little high, difficult to use, other than that I was very satisfied. This hotel provides complimentary breakfast and Lunch/dinner. As we were little tired so we decided to have lunch as complimentary. And we went little earlier and we were first to have the lunch on that day, the food is delicious and restaurant is so neat. Apart from complimentary we have ordered couple of dishes and those also tasty and served with hot.Since we have planned our visit nearby places and to taste Madurai food we didn't had dinner. On the final day we had breakfast which also tastes good. There was open theater near the restaurant, when inquired only during Saturdays and Sundays open theaters are accessible.Overall we enjoyed our two nights stay in Hotel Tamilnadu.

The stay @ Hotel Tamilnadu Madurai II from 25.11.2023 (Check in) to 27.11.2023 (Check out) was horrible. A lot of construction activity was going on thereby causing a loud thudding noise pollution related to construction activity in high decibels. The counter staff told that whole hotel premises is under renovation.The counter staff here was very adamant, unprofessional & non co-operative. We requested them to change the room but they flatly refused & did not accept any request. Renting such properties with a lot of construction activity related noise pollution.I am a senior citizen & they are giving 20% discount to senior citizens. Hence they told me that they will refund discount @ the time of check out. But @ that time they told that discount is applicable to booking done only (TTDC). Remaining there for a single minute was a punishment. Hence I now want my total amount of refund Rs /- plus compensation Rs /- i.e. total Rs /-Please refund me aforesaid amount of Rs./- at the earliest.  very noisy & not satisfied

In the hotel if our guests to the room to meet us we have asked extra chairs to seat, but staff straight away refused by saying we cannot give extra chairs and we have bought water bottles and asked for glasses to serve water but the reply is that per room we provide two glasses we will not give more than that. Very rude behaviour staff specially at the reception

My booking for today 16 Oct 2021, im in the room, I have to book a deluxe room but room like a lodge and we are waiting for Check-in after 1 hour, it's a very poor experience for my first booking and 15 days I'm outside of town for my company purpose, we are staying in 5 star hotel,
