The Dolphin Park Hotel

I had a terrible experience with this hotel. On the morning of check in the hotel staff contacted me and told me to cancel the booking before 12 noon so that I will get the full refund without any deductions. On further inquiry about the reason one person told me that there has been an overbooking and so they will not be able to provide me with the 2 rooms I had booked. Later on another person named Mr. from the front desk called me and told that at the time of their registration one of their staff had entered a wrong and lesser amount in the hotel room rate and that it will result in a big loss for them. Also the owner of the hotel had found out about this error by the staff and had demanded that the staff call the customers who had booked the rooms and demand that they cancel the booking before 12 on the check in date and obtain full refund and also come to the hotel and obtain a discount from the current rate and hence they made the call to me. Mr. also told me that if we did not cancel our booking the owner had warned about deducting the difference in the room rates from the staff's salary who made the registration entry. He also told me for this reason they will not be able to provide me with the 2 rooms I had booked. I retorted that since I had already made booking for 2 rooms they are bound to give me that and after that some argument ensued between us. Later on when we reached the hotel we were provided 1 room only and the 2nd room was given to us after 8 hours that too in a different floor. It is for this reason I am giving 1 rating and that too since you do not have a 0 rating.

Upon our arrival, we found the receptionist asleep on the sofa in the lobby at 7:00 a.m. He had to be woken up by a passing lady after our request to her. There were a lot of small cockroaches on the bed when we got back after about 3 hours, and had left some bananas on it earlier. The bathroom needs good cleaning and looks rather poor in upkeep. No phone in the room to contact the reception. No functional restaurant either.

worst hotel to stay , completely dirty . they take money only no services . even for a single service you have to call 10 times . after that also you will not get service . completely worst experience of Chennai stay .They are selling water bottle 10rs more than MRP. when I object they rudely behaved .

The room is good and they treat their guests very well, The only concern is, the bathrooms are not clean with many bugs and cockroaches, rather than that the entire stay is very good. Easy check in and The receptionist will be helpful.
