Hidden deep within the emerald embrace of the Western Ghats, where clouds descend to kiss the treetops and the air smells of wild earth and strawberries, stood Vanantara Forest Resort. It was marked by loud signboards or city noise. Instead, it revealed itself through a winding path lined with towering silver oak and whispering bamboo. As guests stepped out of their cars, they didn’t just arrive they arrived into silence. Every morning began with mist floating gently between the cottages. The forest awakened slowly birds composing melodies, leaves rustling like soft applause, and distant temple bells carried by the breeze. Guests often found themselves waking before sunrise, just to watch golden light spill over the valley.
