Don't hire any car from the persons at the hotel reception. They will assign you a car whose driver may be a cheater. The driver may ask you money in advance for petrol and alike and if you pay in cash, on the way may deny to receive the amount what you had paid and will try to extort more money (than the balance amount to be paid at the end of the journey) in the middle of the road by halting the car. This unfortunate incident happened with us with the driver named 'Mani Maniking' on way to Rameswaram. This was reported to the hotel receptionist over phone but in vain.

We stayed for 3 days here. Railway station, Meenakshi Temple, Market, Periyan bus stand all nearby. For food no tension.Tamilian restaurants with variety of chutneys in 5 min walkable distance. Hotel staff is well Co operative. We haired taxi for our Rameshwaram visit from the hotel counter only. People of Madurai are very honest.

They allowed early check-in, which was very convenient. The room was a bit small, but definitely worth the price. It was clean and well-maintained. I also appreciated that they let me store my luggage in the lobby after checkout—great service overall.

Overall Hotel is good...Excellent Staff..neat and clean..near to Temple and Market..... The taxi provided by Hotel Vijay was good, but the taxi driver is a little bit rude, like many Tamilians.....
