ZION COTTAGE

Zion Cottage is homestay in Chinnakanal area . It's opposite to Club Mahindra and Sterling group so location is nice.The hotel is 21kms from Munnar town. The sunrise point is 12 Km from a hotel . Only Jeeps are allowed at the location and they will charge you between (1200-1500). Hotel owner and staff is very nice and co-operative. The best thing about the location is whenever you travel to Munnar/Devikulam Sightseeing you cover all the points in Chinnakanal and experience the scenic beauty of Munnar. There is not much food option available as it is homestay . I had Puttu Kadala and it was very tasty Breakfast quantity is very good. You can try Mahaveer (2-3 km's) and Sienna hotel for Lunch&dinner is at walking distance. The staff is very nice and co-operative .Rooms are very clean and spacious. Hot water available all time. Wifi working fine. If you get up early in the morning you can see the sunrise from the hotel balcony and there is another scenic beauty around the hotel as well . Area is safe in night as well for couples There is Auto Driver Ganeshan he covered all Munnar sightseeing in 2500 and taxi driver and other auto person were saying 2000 rs per day . We missed him throughout the trip because Auto driver charge 20 RSper KM in Kerala and we covered 250 kms in 2500. I am very pleased and lucky to have stayed at Munnar in Zion Cottage .

I have stayed here for two days on March. The only drawback of this hotel is it is 22 km from munnar bus stand. Auto will charge around 350 from munnar and local jeep service also there in cheap rate. If you can manage this then all other things are very good. Nice place. You will get food from outside small hotels also. Room was nice and clean. There is a common balcony. Nice view from there as shown in pictures. The most important is that the people (the host) are awesome. You will get all kind of help from them. My family had the most wonderful time at HOME during the stay at Zion Cottage. Neat and clean rooms, homely treatment, Nice room services, the home made food was awesome compared to the same blend tasteless food we had elsewhere in Kerala. Stay at Zion with family or as couple or alone and you will feel at home. Thanks to Mr. Renjith and family for awesome services.

It was decent stay, rooms were spacious but washrooms are little small, there were no fans in room. The caretaker was arranging everything after over check-in but room should be ready before check-in. in the last he arranged a jeep for kolukkumalai trek so this was the best part of stay.
