About Akasa Air
Akasa Air Operation
Akasa Air – Fleet Size
Because the airline is still in its early stages, it will begin operations with two Boeing 737 MAX aircraft and will gradually expand its fleet. They intend to add at least 18 aircraft to their fleet by the end of 2022, with a goal of having 72 ultra-modern, brand-new Boeing 737 MAX aircraft powered by the highly fuel-efficient CFM LEAP-1B engine in their fleet within the next five years.
According to the airline, the 737 MAX family of aircrafts are designed to offer low seat mile costs due to their low operational costs, which are backed by high reliability, superior performance, and enhanced passenger experience. When compared to other aircraft, low maintenance aircraft produce up to 50% less noise. Every Boeing 737 MAX family plane has modern interiors with LED lighting, sculpted sidewalls, and comfortable seats to improve the overall cabin experience.
Akasa Airlines also takes pride in bringing to the competition the country's greenest and youngest fleet, with 50% less noise and 20% less fuel emissions, making it one of the most environmentally friendly air carriers.

Akasa Airlines – Web Check-in and Verification
At the moment, Akasa Airlines does not offer web check-in to its passengers. You can, however, choose priority check-in services, which will aid in the smooth onboarding process while avoiding long lines at airport counters and allowing you to board your flight on time. Priority check-in also enables customers to have their luggage delivered earlier than non-priority customers once they arrive at their destination. Priority check-in, like extra baggage, can be pre-booked online to avoid the hassle at the airport counter, and passengers can make the booking for priority check-in until one hour before the flight departure.
The following are some considerations for passengers booking a priority check-in and bag for Akasa airlines:
- A fee of Rs. 400 per passenger is charged for priority check-in and baggage arrival.
- Priority check-in service is only available to passengers who have a confirmed Akasa Airlines ticket.
- Priority check-in fees are non-refundable.
Another highlight of the new Akasa Airlines travel is the priority check-in service, which provides customers with a quick on-boarding experience. In addition, airlines have issued a set of guidelines and policies that passengers must follow in order to receive priority check-in:
- Passengers who have purchased priority check-in and luggage cannot transfer it to another person.
- Passengers may book priority check-in at least one hour before the flight's departure.
- Infants travelling with priority check-in customers are not charged an additional fee.
- Passengers must approach the Akasa airline airport counter or contact Akasa airline staff for priority check-in.
- Only two check-in bags will be permitted with priority check-in, and the same number of bags will be delivered on the belt with priority tags.
- The priority check-in service cannot be cancelled on an individual basis by passengers.
- Priority check-in fees will be fully refunded for fully and partially cancelled bookings.
- If the passenger changes the travel date, the pre-booked priority check-in service will be transferred to the new date.
- No refunds will be provided if the passengers do not show up at the airport if they have purchased the service in advance.
- The pre-booked priority check-in services can only be cancelled if the corresponding flight booking is also cancelled.
- Any dispute arising from the priority check-in and bag service will be resolved after the final decision from Akasa airline
Akasa Airline – Inflight Experience
The aircrafts that Akasa Air brings to the foray are world-class in nature and the most environmentally friendly that any air carrier in India has ever introduced. All of their aircrafts are fuel efficient and emit 205 fewer emissions than other airlines, making them the most environmentally friendly airline. Furthermore, the noise level is nearly 50% lower than that of any other aircraft, making them even more environmentally friendly.
In terms of cabin experience, Akasa provides an exceptional in-flight experience to its passengers through modular interiors, sculpted cabin walls, spectacular window reveals, and mesmerising LED lighting that enhances the overall cabin experience. Well-trained support staff, on-ground personnel, and flight crew make passengers feel safe and comfortable while providing a luxury experience on a low-cost flight.
Café Akasa provides on-board service for Akasa Airlines, offering a variety of healthy, tasty, and high-quality meal options. The Café Akasa provides a one-of-a-kind gourmet experience that passengers can enjoy while flying.
The menu items at Café Akasa are inspired by the farm to plate concept and include nutritious, fresh, and healthy dishes curated by the country's celebrity chefs. To create, a well-balanced fusion of Indian meals was used. Café Akasa's menu will cater to all passengers' tastes. The menu also includes a special year-round festive menu as well as upscale meal options such as Vietnamese rice rolls, hot chocolate, gourmet pasta, and more.
The packaging for the meals is also sourced from a sustainable grown group, ensuring that no harm is done to the environment. To ensure that customers have no complaints about their Café Akasa service, the airline promises to refund the fees charged for pre-booked meals if the flight is cancelled. Additionally, passengers who cancel their pre-booked meal and ticket combos at least 24 hours before the flight's departure are eligible for a full refund for the food service. However, no-show passengers will not be reimbursed for the Café Akasa fee.
On their website, Akasa Air also states that the airline or Café Akasa cannot guarantee that allergenic foods such as peanuts, gluten, dairy, eggs, and so on are not used in their meals because they are prepared using standard recipes. As a result, Akasa Airlines and Café Akasa cannot guarantee 100% allergen-free food. They have also advised passengers to take note of the ingredients if they are allergic to anything and to take proper medical precautions to avoid exposure to allergen substances.
