Web check-in and verification
Web check-in is a free check-in service provided by Tigerair available between 72 hours and 1 hour prior to the scheduled departure time. If using a desktop computer or tablet for web check-in, a passenger will be required to print out their boarding pass and bring it to the airport on the day of travel.
If using web check-in on a mobile device, a passenger can also view and save their mobile boarding pass directly to their phone and simply show it when boarding the flight at the airport. Alternatively, the facility of web check-in on desktop or tablet is also available. Passengers can email the boarding pass to themselves.
If a passenger does not have access to web check-in prior to their flight, they can visit the airport kiosk or approach one of the airport agents located in the check-in terminal of the departure airport. This service strictly closes 45 minutes prior to departure.
If web check-in (checked-in online) has been completed and baggage has been checked, the passenger will need to visit the bag drop area before boarding. Domestic bag drop closes 45 minutes prior to scheduled departure.
If a passenger has completed web check-in (checked-in online) and only has carry-on baggage, he/she can proceed straight to the gate, 30 minutes prior to departure for domestic travel.
Baggage Allowance
Tigerair baggage allowance allows passengers to bring one main item and one small item as cabin baggage, within the limited weight and dimension, when they travel. The main item must not exceed height of 54 cm, width of 38 cm and depth of 23 cm. The secondary small item that can be taken on board may be one of the following: handbag/purse, coat, book, tablet or similar sized device or umbrella. Passengers may bring two pieces of cabin baggage with a total combined weight of 7 kg.

Positive Identification (ID) is photographic IDs such as a driver's licence, national passport, social security card and medicare cards. For children, the same ID requirement applies as adults, if they have an approved photo ID. All children should travel with their birth certificate or student ID card.
Tigerair Australia reserves the right to refuse carriage to any passenger if their travel documentation is not considered to be in a suitable condition or shows any sign of being tampered.

Tiger Airways History
Set up in December 2003, Tiger Airways launched its first flight from Singapore to Bangkok almost after a year in September. Within a year of its inception, the airlines gained 75% profitability with a total of 1.2 million passenger carriage and 5000 scheduled flights. In March 2007, Tiger Airways launched a sister airline, Tiger Airways Australia. For easier management of the two airlines, a company called Tiger Airways Holdings Limited was founded. Started operating in November 2007, Tiger Airways Australia is currently offering its services from its hub in Melbourne. In 2010, Tiger Airways ventured into the Philippines market by acquiring the partnership rights of Southeast Asian Airlines (SEAir) followed by the strategic investment in the Indonesia-based low cost carrier Mandala Airlines in 2011. Today, Tiger Airways, with its Australian offshoot and other partner airlines, has extended its route network to more than 50 destinations spread across 13 countries in the Asia Pacific.
